Those tweets are excoriating Cruz. Thee man has no principles.
Now I know why Carson endorsed Trump.
But when you threaten violence or seem to condone it (as Trump did by saying in his day people left on stretchers, and I will pay your legal bills if you beat them) then you bear some responsibility for a violent environment.
I know no candidate did this so let me give you an example. If a protester came in and started yelling, and the candidate tells the crowd to beat the crap out of him, and the protester dies, is the candidate at all culpable? I say yes.
I think all Cruz was saying was that if you create an environment that your supporters feel it is OK to commit violent acts, like the guy who cold cocked that BLM protester, then you share some of the responsibility.
Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Thank you so much

Exactly. What Cruz is really saying is that Trump’s winning strategy of speaking the truth is akin to shouting fire in a movie theater. Cruz just lost the election. He wasn’t ready for that 3am phone call.
Until tonight I was wavering between Trump and Cruz. After seeing this pathetic statement of Ted Cruz I can no longer support him or remain neutral. I do not want him to be my (soon to be former) partys nominee, period. I used to cringe a little when I heard Trump call him Lying Ted. Now I think it is a fitting moniker.
