Cruz, Rubio and Kasich criticize Trump for creating ‘environment’ for Chicago protest
The Washington Post ^ | March 11, 2015 | David Weigel

Posted on 03/11/2016 8:31:56 PM PST by lonestar67

"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

Trump can still do very well in this campaign and tone down his rhetoric that misleads his attendees from believing they should do vigilante take downs of these thugs.

Trump is right about how these are “bad apples” and how he does not want people attending the rallies to be hurt.

But he is wrong to suggest that he wants to hit them or suggest that his supporters should hit them or be violent toward them.

It is a recipe for disaster and it is exactly what these jacobins want.

Didn’t take much for Mr. Constitution to abandon the right to free speech. Cruz is one of the all time biggest political disappointments.

Its absurd to blame Cruz for the violent attacks. it really is.

Nobody is blaming Cruz for the violent attacks. We're blaming Cruz for being a sellout who will justify the tactics of BLM, a racist, semi-communist, violent group by basically saying "well, trump had it coming".

When somebody eventually takes a shot at him are you going to be saying "Well, he shouldn't have talked about how he loved the KKK?" Or do you not see how you're being manipulated?

A "protest" that was planned on social media with the express purpose of starting fistfights and stopping the rally from happening in the first place.

And on yeah, that's all Trump's fault too.

I would say the three stooges have walked into another Trump trap. This whole thing will translate into more votes for the Donald next Tuesday.

Disgusting. Sickening. The only people responsible for what happened in Chicago are the ones who caused so much trouble. And any politician to grab a Mic and blame Trump is a cheap whore attempting to score votes like johns.

Ayers and his leftist buddies are trying to recreate 1968 . . . happy times for domestic terrorists. I’d like to see Cruz go back to Canada.

Agreed. Cruz uses coordinated political violence to levy a political attack against an anti-establishment Republican front runner. He has chosen to blame the victim for political gain. Personal gain no less. Cruz is not the messiah or a messenger from God. He now looks like, talks like, and smells like a career politician.

I supported Cruz for years. I agree with him on most all policy issues. But I CANNOT and WILL NOT support him in 2016. If an evangelical christian who agrees with him on all of the issues can’t stand him at this point ….

Cruz is showing us what a whimp he is and what kind of president he would be.

A traitor to our national security (pro-Corker amendment), a betrayer of American workers (TPA/TPP, H-1B visas), and today a traitor to the First Amendment. Go back to Canada.

Trump admits to buying politicians. Trump admits that he uses foreign guest worker programs to avoid employing Americans.

If you support Trump, you support corruption and foreign workers. Period.

Far from it. Cruz starts off with an incorrect premise, and then piles on the false statements.
