Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) said Friday night that primary frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign is responsible for creating an environment that encourages violence after a Trump rally was cancelled because clashes broke out when protestors entered the event.
Speaking at a press conference, Cruz told reporters he “thinks a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment [of violence]. When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates.”
Cruz warned that violence will likely continue to take place at future Trump events, citing an incident in St. Louis earlier that same day when at least 32 people were arrested after attendees at a Trump event clashed with protestors.
“That’s not how our politics should occur,” Cruz said. “It is my hope that in 2016 we can appeal to our better angels [and] avoid going down that road once again.”

Um, no. What we are seeing with the Trump rally violence is the precursor of the violence that will occur when people’s goodies are taken away and they are told they have to work for a change.
In the national parks, you are warned not to feed the animals because once they get used to handouts, they expect handouts. And then when people don’t give them food, they become aggressive and attack.
The violence at the Trump rallies is no different, except that the attackers are smart enough to know that Trump is threatening their “free stuff” supply, so they are attacking preemptively, before the goodies are stopped.
The Canadian showed that he is actually ignorant of the US Constitution and the freedoms we have.
Definitely the education system is to blame on both fronts...
Cruz spoke the truth.

If Ted Cruz had a rally in downtown Chicago...very few people would show up...hence, no protesters need to show up....Cruz defeats himself with his mouth and, ticks folks off the way he says “Good Morning” to them. What a loser!!! a vote cast for Ted Cruz is a thrown away vote....end of story!!!

The PT Barnum Trump Circus act can be plenty entertaining.
The down side of The Trump Carnival is that all the nasty tweets, all the childish personal attacks, all the pornographic language & imagery, all the man-handling and threats of physical harm to protesters, and all the racist comments lends to a very polarized environment...violence is one outcome!

Blaming Trump for last night’s riots is like blaming a YouTube video for Benghazi.
If and when (every day less likely of course...) Cruz becomes front-runner, the press will start talking about Cruz’s fascism, and Cruz’s culture of violence. All the while, mobs and professional agitators surround them and shout them down. If they aren’t doing it now, its only because he isn’t the front runner.
This is how propaganda works, and I hate to see people falling for it. I call it the Noise Machine. Both sides fall for it, all the time. I hate it.
Secondly, how does Cruz expect to attract Trump’s supporters to his cause if he won’t stand with them when they are under attack?
Damn Ted Cruz. I had such high hopes for you. You ruined everything by acting like a lefty instead of defending the constitution.
Trump should have had the courage to show up and speak. He abandoned 25,000 supporters and emboldened the protesters while cowering in his luxury hotel.
Now these leftists will be further encouraged to shut down the speech of anyone with whom they disagree.
