Cruz: Trump Campaign Bears Responsibility For Creating Environment Encouraging Violence
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 3/11/16 | Aaron Kliegman

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) said Friday night that primary frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign is responsible for creating an environment that encourages violence after a Trump rally was cancelled because clashes broke out when protestors entered the event.

Speaking at a press conference, Cruz told reporters he “thinks a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment [of violence]. When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates.”

Cruz warned that violence will likely continue to take place at future Trump events, citing an incident in St. Louis earlier that same day when at least 32 people were arrested after attendees at a Trump event clashed with protestors.

“That’s not how our politics should occur,” Cruz said. “It is my hope that in 2016 we can appeal to our better angels [and] avoid going down that road once again.”

Blaming Trump for last night’s riots is like blaming a YouTube video for Benghazi.

Trump abandoned his supporters. By cancelling his speech he is encouraging more of this disruptive behavior.

It certainly reflects poorly on Trump's leadership ability.

Perfect opportunity to go after the Dems...and he goes after his own party...and particularly Trump.

That’s good.

You should be more concerned about Rev. Cruz turning his back on the 1st Amendment.

What we are seeing with the Trump rally violence is the precursor of the violence that will occur when people’s goodies are taken away and they are told they have to work for a change.

Cruz stands up for the first amendment.

Should be obvious that Trump created this climate. The protesters are still thugs, though.

Surprise? Cruz shows his true colors?

Don’t forget his first lie - that his nbc status is ‘settled’.

Cruz is acting exactly like obama on this nbc issue -
his deliberate refusal to address his constitutional eligibility issue, his outright lie to deceive people on his nbc status....is exactly what obama has been doing all these years!

Now he is condoning the actions of the left, the alinsky radicals! He is in effect saying - it is justifiable for people to violently intimidate others who don’t agree with them, in this case, a presidential candidate and his supporters, and, the victims of the intimidation/violence are to blame!

To all you Cruz supporters - is this conservative - condoning the left’s use of violence to suppress our right to free speech?

OK, he might be just playing politics, but to the left, the alinsky radicals, he is sending the message that even their opponent, the Ted Cruz who is on the same side of Trump the target of their attacks/protests, agree with them!

‘Should be obvious that Trump created this climate. The protesters are still thugs, though.’
If you think Trump created this climate - what about the climate he creates where Americans, many of whom are educated, rational, principled and disciplined, are energized and engaged to elect a leader who will truly lead in the interests of the people, instead of business as usual.
Is this climate involving thousands and thousands of peaceful Americans nothing when compared to the usual ‘climate’ where a few agenda-driven thugs organized by the left jump on cues to intimidate and incite violence?

Trump does not create this climate. The media, the elitists, the corrupt politicians do - they deliberately feed the people what they want them to hear, not what is really said/meant/done.
The people who support Trump are those who, somehow, hear his messages through all the filters. That is the climate Trump has created!

These thugs have been doing this forever - latch onto anything as an excuse for their ‘protests’ which always turn into violence. And they have help - the Soros, the Ayers, ....they are in effect organized violence/intimidation squads. The media gives them 24/7 coverage....
what they ‘protest’ matters,
what we protest can go to h***.

Double-talk. If Trump created this climate, it would have been his supporters trying to start a riot.

If you were Trump, and you were told that a bunch of well funded anarchists were planning to riot during your speech and that the result would be that many men, women and children would be injured.... would you go ahead with the speech , or have enough brains to realize that the whole thing was a SETUP to try and blame you for the injuries and possible deaths ?

And CPUSA, and MOVEON.ORG, and the BLM movement who were just there to execute their first amendment rights, (and burn down the place to keep Trump and his supporters from executing their FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS).

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said, "This didn't come out of nowhere." "This is mobs of people being spurred to violence by the person in the front of the room in front of the microphone."

The violence was very predictable.

Trump is now the obvious Republican front runner and presumed Republican candidate for president.

The Republican front runner is the target for the most negative attention (violence).

Democrats do what Democrats they protest and frequently resort to violence if resisted and often react violently just because.

Anyone surprised by this hasn’t been paying attention to Democrats for the last 40 years.

Trump is responsible for making Chicago the crime infested hell hole that is has become ? Same thing going on in ST. Louis. Did he 'create' Ferguson Missouri ? Did me make St. Louis the way it is ?

We all know the answers to this.
