Our dear departed friend C. Edmund Wright was wont to complain that Trump “attacked from the left”.

Too bad he’s not with us any more, because that’s exactly what Crudz is doing.

I wonder if he realizes what a hypocrite that makes him?

But a very prominent, highly respected, multi-published hypocrite! ;o)

Well its good to see we have a few Cruz supporters still around defending his position blaming Donald Trump for well organized actions staged by violent leftists disrupting one of his events. There are many here who would not believe that anyone would try to rationalize what has got to be the most idiotic move that the Cruz campaign has made since its conception. In one day the support for Cruz on the daily Free Republic Caucus dropped from 23% to 17%. That is a 26% drop in Cruz’s support here in one day which is most likely directly attributable to his comments. What else could it be?

So to you remaining Cruz supporters... keep it up. We need you here to remind us that there actually are still dedicated followers who will defend absolutely any position Cruz takes no matter how distasteful and outright dishonest that it is.

CruZaders are missing the point of the biggest political upheaval since the election of 1860. Wow.

Interesting post!

How do you measure the percentages here on FR? I’ve been wondering what the breakdown here is.

What turned me off soundly was his rush to the microphone that night to try to capitalize on that situation at the rally. I liked him til it seems like about the time Jeb dropped out and Marco looked like he wasn’t going to win . I think about the time Neil Bush took over his campaign. I believe he is listening to some bad advice.

Go ahead, explain how this was Trump's fault. Explain how his rhetoric and campaign tone was at fault. I will wait a long, long time to hear from you, because even you know that's not true.

When Cruz explicitly blames Trump instead of the totalitarian leftists who wanted to shut down his rally, who wanted to promulgate violence in the rallies and outside, I'm sorry, he might as well be saying he supports the leftist tactics. It's why, aside from the TV anchors, and the GOPe, he's getting lots of blow back.

You can pretend that's not true, but it won't help.

Remember: Obama was elected twice, so winning elections is not a measure of anything positive.

I feel sorry for ... even for his wife....

Hard for me to drag up much sympathy for someone dragging in over a million a year from Goldman who won't give a penny to her church.

You won’t vote for the most conservative candidate since Calvin Coolidge?

I guess you will only support a liberal candidate?

Some of you are parroting the leftist establishment's narrative for each candidate.

Cruz is turning out, if he is truly a conservative, to have given up those principles for a seat at the establishment table. How is that purely conservative????

As for Trump, he is running on a fairly patriotic and conservative platform if you would bother to take a look at for what he stands for instead of what the leftists establishment, including the media, is trying to use to try to destroy him.

Do not be deceived by the leftist establishment's tactics.

How true.

Remember when Congressman John Lewis claimed that Tea Partiers called him the "n-word" at one of their rallies? Andrew Breitbart offered a reward for anyone who could produce proof that this happened. No proof was ever offered, but the left had done their damage.

Yeah, and remember how the leftist establishment teamed up to take out Herman Cain? Or how about the fix was in on the CNN debate when Candy Crowley saved 0bama on Benghazi. Romney, an establishment guy, had to be in on it to help save 0bama and his re-election. You just can't trust any of them that has any Washington DC establishment ties. In this election, they are trying to save themselves, how selfish.

People are free to believe what they will or support who they want. We just have to be so cautious of the evil leftist establishment in this country because it is still very powerful in what it can influence.

“I get that trump supporters agree with on speech, “sit down and shut up”,”

Welcome to Bizarro World. You need to find the video of Atty. Peter Johnson, Jr., on FNC this morning. He can school you on exactly who’s infringing on whose free speech. (And he’s not even a Trump supporter.)

“Keep rearranging those deck chairs Spooky, while the band plays ‘Nearer My Dominionist God To Thee’.”

I think you’re confused. It’s ROMNEY who is a (mormon)god. Cruz is Dominionist KING. (His daddy said so.)
