One thing you do not understand plewis, is that this country unfortunately has gone to far to the left for Cruz to win in the general!!! I know you WOULD LOVE to believe that this is NOT the case, but you NEED to get your head out of the sand and realize that it has taken 30+ years for the progressives to get this country to where it is now!!! if you look at this situation realistically it WILL take us at-least the same amount of time to turn the ship around !!! I just WILL NEVER understand how you folks honestly believe the country WILL ACCEPT a CRUZ far right person as POTUS????? It seems like some people here don't understand that. The progressive rise in America has been coming for a long time.
The progressive establishment running the GOP tells us everything we want to hear in every election, then turn around and stab us in the back but progressivism continues to build.
For once, we have a successful private citizen, Donald Trump, running on fairly good conservative principles that actually has a good chance of squashing the progressive establishment that runs the GOP. We and conservatism will definitely not get anywhere till the GOP establishment is defeated and removed. I don't know why some here don't see that a President Donald Trump is a very good chance of that happening.
In reality, you better believe the progressive establishment that runs the GOP, can definitely see it and is doing everything it can to try to destroy him.

Why wouldn’t it? It’s for liberty. It’s for doing exactly what the “angry mob” is demanding... Giving back personal freedom. Giving back true hope. Giving back true prosperity.
This IS a conservative community, like it or not. Was founded on those principles and was supported on that idea for the past 18, almost 19 years.
It has always had an intolerance for the ideals of the left, for the ideals of the progressive.
To attack FROM the left, to discount any candidate for being TOO conservative is nonsense. There is zero evidence that conservatism does not win. In fact, quite the opposite.
What does the establishment demand? “We need this guy because he is in he middle...” “Yeah yeah, and, he’s a war hero!!!” “He’s s successful businessman who ran the olympics!!!” “Shut up Mr. Conservative!!! We don’t need you!!! Go back to your corner!!!”
It. Does. Not. Work.
Conservativism, has not been tried since 1984. It has not been given the chance to win since then. I’ll remind you the last 2 times it was given the chance, short of 4000 votes, we swept the nation. The time before, we overthrew a sitting President with a 40+ state win.
Conservatism DOES win. It’s not that our country has changed or that its unpopular. The problem is we let the left pick our candidate. The electorate is never given the choice of the conservative.
Just imagine the debate stage where Clinton/Sanders is promulgating their hard left socialist ideals, and on our side we are pitching solid, consistent, constitutional conservatism. We will mop the floor with them. Clean their clock.
Win.
Never give up on conservatism. No matter how attractive some politician is, don’t do it.
