It was Cruz, Rubio and finally, Romney, who gave the haters the "Open Season" signal regarding Trump.

That Trump is now somehow responsible for the "poison environment" bred by Obama and then the GOPe is a farce being seen-through by the voters, who are swarming to Trump in droves as a result.

With all due respect, many people, including many people here on FR did not read Cruz’ statement as “backing” the leftist thugs by any stretch of the imagination. He did call out Trump on his own undisputed calls for violence, even if made in jest.

And while what Cruz said was without question true, it was not politically smart. He should have come out with both barrels at the Move On/ Bernie Sanders brownshirts, and then just waited for the inevitable next opportunity to point out Trump’s own shortcomings in the coming days.

But that’s all water under the bridge. At this point, Trump looks like the nominee. Now it’s time to figure out how to work together to beat Hillary and the other socialists in November.
