This is just a way to ambush Trump before he can work things out. Go ahead Gop make my day. I ll never vote Gop again, not even for dog catcher. People we cant stay on the side of these crooks. Unless they become part of the human family. Which many of them have never been. If many of us left, went to the Dem party we could vote in whatever we want against these super rich. Including taking their money from them. They want hardball, they dont even know the meaning of it. We are in control dont back up !

The one “comfort” is the Rats are going to have a lot of unhappy Sanders’ voters, so maybe this will help us if it gets hairy on our side.

In most countries the person to represent a party in a general election is selected by the party leaders NOT the general populous.

Some don't believe it but that is how it is done here also. We only have the illusion of choice because they control the group we supposedly get to chose from.

If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."

From The Green Papers:

Friday 1 April - Sunday 3 April 2016: The North Dakota State Republican Convention convenes. The State Committee voted on 13 August 2015 to not have any type of Presidential caucus or straw poll.

In a Presidential election year, the Committee ... will present a slate of delegates... to the State Republican Endorsing Convention from persons who applied to the committee from nomination.

Three party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the North Dakota’s Republican Party, will attend the convention by virtue of their position.

North Dakota’s delegates ... shall caucus ... to discuss voluntarily apportioning delegate representation on the first ballot ... However, any such apportionment on the first ballot shall be strictly voluntary. The delegates remain free to vote their conscience on all balloting. If that’s true then voting is a sham... Doesn’t matter who we vote for elites will pick whoever they damn well please?

Even the GOP’s not stupid enough to do this one...

Curly Haugland needs to hear from the rank and file.

Maybe he needs to wake up with a horse head between the sheets.

Mark Levin explained on levintv why a vote for Rubio is a vote for a convention:

Norht Dakota,

Call you state office and fire this idiot. Anyone who think they can ignore the will of the voters needs to be removed from their potion.

My guess is there will be 0.0 GOPe going to the convention as delegates.

But that doesn't mean they won't conspire to stop Trump. On FR there's a solid bloc of anti-Trump conservatives. Even conservatives who are open to a Trump nomination might be persuaded to support a more conservative alternative. Particularly on Trump's weak point, which is social conservatism.

I predict that if the GOPe tries to steal the nomination they will not put up Mitt Romney or any other obvious moderate as the alternative. They'll choose a strong pro-life, pro-marriage candidate who just happens to believe in free trade and that amnesty is an act of love.

The only non-Trump person they could nominate is Cruz.

You may hate that but I believe it is down to those two.

Taking into account the will of the voters Cruz is the only credible alternative, but that doesn't mean the GOPe will select him. If they cared about the voters they'd just let Trump have it.

I don't hate Cruz. He's politically tone deaf and he's likely to lose the general election, but if he's the nominee I'll support him.

The states cannot sue, it is completely up to the party to define the rules for the nominating process. Maybe the state branch of the GOP could sue the national GOP, but that would be about it.

Conventions are stupid show cases. I remember Bill Gwatney’s widow forced to endorse the criminal in the W.Hut after shooting husband. “The great State of bla bla,” etc. !!!
