At the first 'debate" which was actually an inquisition, I was told in no uncertain terms that I would have to come up the ranks, be chosen for this and that, and simply going for the ring off the get go was unacceptable.
This is how the power brokers from the top down in the GOP operate.
To them, is all about power, perks, frills, associated with getting to decide who is who and what is what.
They could really not care less who wins and particular election, except if it is their hand picked candidate, they then gain more power.
Trump bypasses their whole power structure, makes them irrelevent useless as last week's newspaper.
He robs them of the whole reason for their existence, thus they will fight him as long as they are able, in an attempt to hold on to that perceived power.

Have my black sweats on right now. I live in sweats around the house in the winter - since it’s just me, don’t have to get too dressed up for anyone here - when I was engaged I dressed much better just being around the house; but, of course always have dressed nicely for work. Need to run errands later, so will need to change to green.

Anytime a retread rises to the occasion, I wonder what favors were performed, and called in.
Worse part is, it totally corrupts the whole system, and real fresh ideas and candidates are shut out completely if they have even a modicum of honesty and patriotism.
Look at my state, CA, the entire republican power structure has gone to the dark side, where the dems currently reside.
The voters see no difference, and the result is dems from gov to local street sweeping supervisor.
There is one glimmer of hope, our sacramento sherrif is going up against ami berra, the local fed representative.
So far, not disappointed, looks legit.

Good news is they will BOTH and the immediate family be voting for TRUMP. We have talked for years about throwing the money changers /lobbiest out of politics It’s as if DT has been listening to our conversations.
