“I have found EVERY time I have taken mom to the hospital she comes out worse!!!”
Same with my MIL, who would go relatively often. Each time she came home worse than before. When she was about 94 she said absolutely no more hospital trips; whatever will happen, will happen. She actually did get better for a while — got her dignity back, etc. Then Hospice came and tended to her for a while. She died at 97 in her bed.
Bless you and your Mother. I too have been though that. My Mother had the same thoughts. She pined for my Father for seven years. She died at 92. it is never easy.
