Sounds like he is going to be fine. Love the duct tape comment. Add some WD40 to the joints and it sounds like a few fellows I know.

I once had an itchy ear. Nothing I put on it stopped the itching. Finally I put a little WD40 on a q-tip and swabbed out my ear. The itching stopped at once.
