It's looking more and more like the plan is to have Kasich and Cruz get just enough delegates to deny Trump the nomination. The Establishment would then give the nomination to Mitt in a brokered convention, and have Kasich accept being Mitt's VP, in a race they will deliberately lose in order to put in Hillary.

If Trump had been considering offering Kasich a VP slot, I'm guessing it's off the table now.

Maybe he (Kasich) has polls showing he's losing ground to Trump

A judge came out with a ruling that those who will be 18 for the November election can vote in the primary. It isn't just Sanders who will benefit from that. Trump also seems to have a lot of young supporters in OH.

Another clue: our local state rep took off her mask ("ohhhh.....I'm sooooo opposed to what Kasich has done to local budgets") and did a robo-call for Kasich. She wouldn't do that unless Kasich felt he needed votes. My suspicion is it will help Trump, making folks more aware even the "good" ones don't represent us.

There are a lot of variables in OH. It should be interesting. It has to be pointed out that Kasich's vote will not be in the "landslide" or "immensely popular" range.

Maybe Mitt will bring along the little black child who popped up in the family picture he released to the media a couple of years ago. Right then I thought that he might want to run again. Then Mitt took part in the South Carolina Confederate flag controversy, siding with Nikki Haley (who gave a most disgusting rebuttal to Obama). It signaled that he would not remain on the sidelines.
