Ohio Gov. John Kasich suggested Wednesday that if Russian planes were to violate a no-fly zone in Syria, he would order them to be shot down.
"If they flew in once, maybe I'd let them fly out, but they wouldn't fly out a second time," Kasich said on FM NewsTalk 97.1 radio.
A no-fly currently doesn't exist because the administration believes the costs outweigh the benefits of coordinating one.
Kasich is among several presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, who support a no-fly zone.

Let me see.
The legitimate government is still in power in Syria. We don’t like that, but its a fact.
The legitimate government welcomed Russian help in Syria to overthrow those who wish to topple the Syrian Government. Kind of like we were invited into Viet Nam and Kuwait.
The no-fly zone would be in place where neither the Russians or Syrians would be allowed to fly over their Sovereign territory. It would be protect by OUR forces, where they could fly over territory where they are neither invited or welcome.
This territory would be open to refugees from the current attacks. Some of the places where the refugees are attacking are currently places where terrorists are based and protected.
Therefore our planes would be flying over territory that we control in another sovereign nation where we are neither invited, nor welcomed, to protect some terrorists that ultimately want to kill us.
Sure. That makes all of the sense in the world.
I wrote yesterday on some forum that the inter-webs have sure made it a lot more difficult to start a war these days. It was so much easier when at least some of use trusted our government.
In all seriousness, when I see this crap I wonder if there is a single elected or appointed official I would really trust to make the correct decision affecting the lives of my children.

Willing to start WWIII and an international military conflagration over the enforcement of a dubious no-fly zone in a backwater country? At worst, he’s insane. At best he’s posturing for political motives and misleading the American people about what he would really do.
