On Monday, Trump tweeted about his opponent Ohio Gov. John Kasich and the North American Free Trade Agreement: "Gov Kasich voted for NAFTA, which devastated Ohio and is now pushing TPP hard- bad for American workers!"

Kasich, as well as GOP candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, generally have been supportive of trade deals.

NAFTA and other trade deals have been too one way. In return we are supposed to get better access for our goods, but it hasn’t worked that way.
We have too many special interests that are willing to settle for less.

I remember the arguments for NAFTA, how it will Elevate Mexico and the Illegals will have no reason to come. Instead they INVADED OUR COUNTRY

We were right then and they are still wrong.

These multinational trade deals are too much entanglement. We need to be able to change when we need to change trade deals, nation to nation - as our economy needs and as it serves AMERICAN INTEREST and need. Contrary to uniparty slogans, we are not the world. We are the United States of America.
