London’s mayor tells Obama to butt out of E.U. debate

LONDON — The mayor of London has a simple message for President Obama over Britain’s upcoming referendum on membership in the European Union: Butt out.

In a strikingly combative article published Monday, the flamboyant mayor, Boris Johnson, accused the United States of “exorbitant hypocrisy” in urging the United Kingdom to vote to stay in the bloc, given that the former defends its own sovereignty with “hysterical vigilance.”

Johnson's strident criticism in the Telegraph newspaper comes amid reports that Obama will visit the United Kingdom next month and will urge Britons to vote to remain in the 28-nation E.U. The London mayor is on the other side of the fence, campaigning for severed ties with the bloc ahead of the June 23 referendum.

Impolitic commentary is being flung back and forth across the Atlantic these days, marking a sharp turn from the usual amicability. As my colleague Adam Taylor noted, Obama suggested in a recent interview that British Prime Minister David Cameron was something of a foreign policy headache. Needless to say, the comments sparked front-page headlines in Britain.

Johnson knows Obama’s in the tank for the NWO, Soros, and their use of Islamic terrorists to accomplish their mission.

The “usual amicability”? That’s a laugh, when did it begin, when Obozo sent back the bust of Churchill?

It has been speculated that Obama post-presidency wants to be secretary general of the UN and expand their global powers (one world government). Butting in the EU discussions may be just the beginning.

Boris is probably the only good person in the UK’s Conservative Party.

I read with this socialist road. It was surprisingly lucid and well thought out and boris seemed to understand America’s founding and our distrust of foreign obligations and treaties. It’s a pity our own politicians don’t understand America so well. I wish we could vote everyone of them out.

"flamboyant"?

He's been married almost continuously since 1987 and has 4 children.

Barack Obama has been so unpopular in America that during the 2014 mid-term elections Democratic Senators refused to allow him to campaign with them.

Now the politically toxic Obama wants to impose himself on the pro-European faction in Britain to ‘’help’’ them win June’s referendum.

The British have never liked being dictated to, even by their own monarchs, which is why so many of them have been beheaded over the years.

Does Obama understand that Boris Johnson is not only the popular mayor of London and a member of Parliament but also a leading British journalist who can skewer the objects of his displeasure such as Obama into pathetic squirming insects, and is also the odds-on favorite to oppose Prime Minister David Cameron for leadership of the Conservative party and therefore of Britain?

Probably not, or Obama would cancel his trip immediately.

That’s because Obama wants to be secretary general of the UNITED Nation’s when the NWO kicks in. That makes him King of the WORLD!

“”given that the former defends its own sovereignty with “hysterical vigilance.””

Don’t know who he’s talking about but it surely is not the president we got saddled with in the U. S. He doesn’t defend anything to do with the U. S. “Hysterical vigilance”? The guy must be drinking some pretty strong stuff or seeing something we’re not privy to.

This is an excellent discussion of why Obama shoud butt out of UK/EU politics ( however, maybe he could just stay there for the next few months).

Way to go, Boris!

This guy could be the party leader one day despite some dubious political history. Love him.
