I don’t remember so much violence during primary campaigns before this one, do you?
Not a primary, but I do remember much worse at the one and only rally I ever attended. 1984, Ronald Reagan, Orange County, CA. The recent stuff we’re seeing looks like Romper Room compared to those days. Those protesters weren’t treated kindly like they are now.
Actually, I remember lots and lots of times lefties have shouted down and disrupted conservative rallies and speakers. Usually, we just mind our manners and let ourselves get bullied.
It will be an ice-cold day in Hades before I vote for that clown Trump, but it is about time we stopped letting the left disrupt legitimate efforts to have a political discussion with their so-called "protests".
The truth is that simply removing disruptors one by one isn't a deterrent, because they end up accomplishing their objective at no cost to themselves lves except bragging rights at the local coffee shop. So a few good hard shots are well-deserved as far as I'm concerned.
Civility must be a two way street.
