REVEALED: Trump Just Promised Former GOP Candidate Prominent Role In His Administration

In an interview Monday on The Steve Malzberg Show, former presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson announced that he would be serving in an “advisory capacity” in a Trump administration.

“Now, I do believe, certainly in my discussions with Donald Trump, he does love America and he does want to be successful,” Carson said. “And he will surround himself with very good people.”

As it turns out, the retired neurosurgeon revealed, he would be one of those “very good people” working alongside the billionaire front-runner should Trump win the general election.

He confirmed that he would be “doing things” within a Trump administration, elaborating only that he would be serving “in an advisory capacity.”

“That has been determined?” Malzberg asked. “When you sat down with him, that was discussed?”

Carson confirmed that he discussed the issue broadly with Trump, though he shied away from revealing any specifics.

“Well, we haven’t hammered out all the details,” he said. “It is very important that we work together in this country.”

Pressed to reveal whether he would hold a position in Trump’s cabinet, Carson reiterated that he would not “reveal any details about it right now because all of it is still very liquid.”

I’m all for it. Wish Cruz, if he could get control of himself and his campaign, would do the same.

I don’t want Christie to be President or V.P. Beyond that he may be well qualified to take direction and complete tasks for Trump.

I have no problem if a position can be found where he can contribute successfully.

Trump and Carson agreed that Ben would be involved with education and/or health services. Whether as a department head or as an advisor it appears undecided.

Whoops! I saw Trump with Christie today, and thought that was was promised.

Good! I think Carson could contribute too. I just didn’t want him as President or V.P.

If Cruz would go back to work as a Senator, he could help make some more progress towards conservative values, in coordination with Trump, or even without.

I’ve been following Dr. Ben Carson for many years. From a distance - I’m from Alaska. Best wishes to him; he’ll be an asset to the administration.

It sounds more like something with the title “Troubleshooter Without Portfolio.” Gorbachev rescued Andrei Sakharov from the gulag and gave him a similar position in his administration.

I figured he was paying people off. I wonder what Sarah Palin got to abandon her principles.

I think so too.

Some of his appointments to his team have represented him very well this campaign season.

Health and Human Services... runs/disburses federal grant money and sets health policy. Much better than Surgeon General which is a figurehead position.
