That’s a big dang percent and very scary for Trump supporters.

We still have a chance in a two-man race to nominate an electable candidate.

No. Cruz scores very well against Hillary in every poll I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of them.

None of the supporters of Rubio or Kasich would vote Trump.

Cruz would be far ahead if it had been a two-man race from the beginning.

Even in Florida, Cruz wins with Rubios and Kasich’s votes.

It ain’t over till it’s over, kiddos.

Jake Tapper, of all people, made sense on this: this is March, when people are wrapped up in their own candidate. When Trump (or Cruz) is the nominee, this acrimony will fade. Now, that changes completely if the establishment strips it from the peoples’ choice and hands it to another.

Oh, these are just Cruzbots...we all know they are pretty much delusional...they lie to themselves all the time and probably do believe when they say they will go rogue, but most will come back to the party. When the fog lifts from their minds they will see Donald Trump is the next Ronald Reagan.

We need to spread love to these poor souls...they need our help.

THANK YOU. As a lifelong conservative, I would strongly consider not voting for Trump. He is disgusting..and many of his supporters on this website — calling Cruz a traitor and liar — are some of the nastiest people around.

“any Republican who “stays home” is selfishly insane”

I’m a Conservative not a Republican. It’s increasingly likely that the choice at the top of the ticket will be two liberals and I won’t vote for either one as I have done in the last two presidential elections.

Until there is a conservative presidential candidate in this country I won’t be casting a vote. I’ll vote for Conservatives down ticket but it looks like it will be a long long time before I will ever vote for President.

Montanajoe...Hillary as POTUS will result in her appointing up to four justices to the SCOTUS. That could result in the Second Amendment being removed before 2020.
She will throw open the gates for millions of immigrants, for whom she will seek full voting rights.
Once she has them voting, there will NEVER be another Republican leading our country ever again during our lifetimes.
That is why it makes sense for all Conservatives to go to the polls and vote for the Republican nominee.

Go Donald Trump! Go Ted Cruz! Defeat Hillary Clinton!

Hey Pal..I seem to remember you telling me the same thing 4 years ago when you were supporting Romney and the GOP.

Save the bandwidth there is nothing you can ever say that will convince me to rejoin the GOP.

My support for 2012 race was squarely behind Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain.
I subsequently held my nose and voted for Romney/Ryan because they would have been better than 0bama/Biden.

At least at that time, anyway!
I dislike both of them now even more than I did in 2012.
That is sometimes how the cookie crumbles.

I’m going to step up and say, I’m one of them. In fact. I see no difference in a Democrat and a Democrat that turned Republican 4 months ago.

Trump is the third party candidate.

He bought the presidency. He started the trend. Bloomberg or Bezos or the next corporate crony will be next in line.

If true, it would explain why we keep losing so bad to some of the worst candidates on the planet - as a group, we’re more stupid than the Dems..

I am voting for the Republican nominee. It is far too important this time around...more than ever before.

This argument gets trotted out every cycle. I'm not playing that game anymore. The SCOTUS has failed me at every opportunity. It won't make a bit of difference if it's Trump or hillary. They are both northeast liberals with NY values.

I think what probably happens is Trump comes up short in delegates, but gets the nomination. He loses big to hillary and the Pubs lose the Senate. After 4 more years of big govt nanny state socialism the Pubs finally nominate a real conservative and Cruz gets elected POTUS.

When Trump (or Cruz) is the nominee, this acrimony will fade.

I think you're wrong for several reasons.

Trump is a low life and has attacked all the other candidates with lies and personal insults. Also, the differences between Trump and the other candidates on policy and the role of govt are so extreme that the only way to get his opposition to support him is to expect that opposition to disregard their long held beliefs.

While I totally like your way of thinking, my concern is that too many fresh immigrant voters will be brought here via a Hillary Clinton presidency.
If she can successfully get 10M new voters into the country (who will very faithfully vote for her...their savior) the Republican party can effectively be rendered moot.
