Sen Cruz has always supported Trump’s rights to hold his rallys and has even said that the protesters do not have the right to disrupt Trumps rallies.

***

And then right after that, he went right back on the attack against Trump, blaming him for causing people to be injured, attacked, and terrorized.

If he’d just stopped after two sentences, or if he’d just waited until a later time to scold Trump about his tone, then it would be fine.

As it was, his response gave aid and comfort to the leftist thugs who attacked and terrorized Trump’s supporters, and just trying to point out the tepid fig leaf that he put over himself while trying to hide his real agenda only makes it worse.

Because now he not only was willing to throw the First Amendment under the bus, but he was talking out of both sides of his mouth while doing so.

And all the internet rage in the world doesn’t change the fact that he lost an enormous amount of support because of those comments and got completely crushed in last night’s primaries.

Now, if you want to keep arguing because you’re desperate to maintain your self-righteousness for supporting Cruz, go ahead. But I will not respond.

When Ted Cruz refused to support Donald Trump’s first amendment rights, he refused to support ALL OF OUR first amendment rights.

***

HEAR HEAR.

So many people on this forum are trying to make this about politics.

It’s not about politics; this is about doing what’s right.

And as Cruz demonstrated, he will give a half-hearted defense of the First Amendment before stabbing the violated person in the back if he thinks that it will gain him a political advantage.

He could have chided Don about his tone or his rhetoric at a later time. He could have said nothing. But instead he tied the ‘he deserved it’ language into the terror attacks.

You do not want to ask that question. And whatever you do, don’t say that Cruz correctly placed blame for the violence on the protesters. And then don’t point out that DT blamed the victims for inciting the attack on a Texas ‘draw the prophet’ cartoon contest...Just don’t go there, you will be in for a beating...

I learned that lesson yesterday...

Yes, because no one likes whining and self-righteous sophistry.

No, that was in reference to the 78 year old boy who did punch the protester in the face.

Now I did say that Trump has recently changed his tone. I was trying to give Trump credit for backing away from his original comments. I even stated as much in my posts. That is not being dishonest nor even mixing the two incidents.

Trump’s original statement was NOT made in regards to self defense as there was no self defense involved.

Sorry but that is a duplicitous position. On one hand you want the protesters to be called out when they are infringing on Trump’s speeches. But you then turn around and dont want Trump called out when he supports a criminal who assaulted and battered another person.

Which is the worse charge? Trespass or Assault/Battery? Sen Cruz RIGHTFULLY called out Trump for his failure to reject the man’s actions. Speaking the truth when someone is wrong is not abandoning the first amendment.

Now to Trump’s credit, he realized his mistake and has since walked back his original statements. Does that mean Trump has also abandoned the first amendment?

Jeez. Corey, is that you? Seriously, I’m not sure why you are so emotionally invested in Corey Lewandowski, but the facts are the facts. You can scream “GFY” all day long, but that doesn’t change the facts and the fact that you are, in fact, wrong.

That is one of the many videos I’ve seen. Means nothing. She just stepped backwards as they were passing through.

Cry wolf somewhere else.

No, she didn’t just “step backwards.” She was moving in one direction. He grabbed her and instantly reversed her direction of travel. She ended up with bruises on her arm. You’re lying if you say that video shows anything else.

in the first exchange between us you said:

“Really, what did Sen Cruz say? The only thing that I read was that Sen Cruz simply stated the truth.”

We are now in a circular argument... already showed you it was not the truth - the original issue.

Trump did not encourage violence as you and the lawyer claim - he encouraged self-defense as is legal and right and allowed under our laws.

This issue cost Cruz hundreds of thousands of votes and at least 2 states - so far. Smart people would learn by now why and change.

Well then that is where we disagree. I believe that if you tell people that you are going to pay their legal bills when they violently attack others not only is encouraging violence it almost goes so far as to qualify for conspiracy charges.

Definition of conspiracy:
a secret plan made by two or more people to do something that is harmful or illegal

And sucker punching someone is illegal.

And here is where you went off the rails.

“I believe that if you tell people that you are going to pay their legal bills when they violently attack others...” At no time did he ever tell anybody to attack others. You lied.

Thanks for playing.

First off, I never said that Trump told anyone to attack other (not counting the legal use of force by security personnel). So to make that assertion is simply a lie on your part. Further, it is a logical fallacy called a straw man argument. That is an intentional misrepresentation of the argument in an attempt to make it easier to attack.

Secondly, you still have not addressed Trumps comments about paying the legal fees of the guy who through the sucker punch. To wit:

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2016/03/donald-trump-violent-supporters-legal-fees

“So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of him, would you?” he told a crowd in Iowa in February. “Seriously, okay, just knock the hell. I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees; I promise, I promise.”

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/272822-trump-im-looking-into-paying-legal-fees-of-supporter-who

“I’m going to look at it. I’m going to see, you know, what was behind this, because it was a strange event. But from what I heard, there was a lot of taunting and a certain finger was placed in the air. Not nice,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

“I’ve actually instructed my people to look into it, yes,” he said.

That protester pushed the envelope a little too far in the wrong state and got some NC rally justice. LOL! I’ll bet we don’t him at another Trump rally. :-)

You’re both wrong. First, the video that all the Trump supporters kept claiming PROVES that she was lying did nothing of the sort. It showed what looked to be Lewandowski grabbing her, just as she said. Then, all the Trump supporters missed THIS video, conveniently, which clearly shows that it was Lewandowski who grabbed her and yanked her backwards. Her direction of travel immiediately went from moving in the direction Trump was moving to moving backwards, and she stumbled.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWLdhbicEBw&list=WL&index=33

Florida 784.03 defines simple battery (or misdemeanor battery) in the following way:

Any actual and intentional touching or striking of another person against that person’s will (non-consensual), or

The intentional causing of bodily harm to another person.

"Clearly shows"? LOL! Stumbled? I guess Cruzers see what they want to see. What you cannot see in that video is that she had stuff in her hand including her phone and a pen, and she was reaching towards a candidate under Secret Service protection. Considering Glenn Beck had already previously let loose a threat at Trump and security was no doubt high, this campaign manager or most likely the Secret Service agent who may have grabbed her arm did her a favor. She violated security protocol and could easily have been tackled or at least forcibly shoved aside.

No, what actually happened in there is like one of the thousands of interactions we experience each and every day. Have you never been outside your house? Been on a bus, at a concert or play or in a crowd at a baseball game? Walked the streets of NYC or on a subway platform? My God man.

Use your head. This was the post-debate press mess in a room containing more cameras than a bank vault or a casino floor. Who in their right mind would "assault" someone in there and then deny it! Apparently you actually believe that this guy wanted to "intentionally cause bodily harm" to someone for no reason like a crazy person.

That video, which itself is an edit that removes the few seconds before and after that show the totality of the momentum of those people walking through the room, still makes the case that nothing happened. Actually what it shows is a lazy daydreaming reporterette trying to get herself a last chance question with the candidate she never bothered to question earlier ( this is supported by a description of her from a Cruz supporter who knows her ).

I have noticed that the anarchist enemy ANONYMOUS group is busy taking down lots of the evidence exposing this gold-digger. See this Post here at FreeRepublic. They must think we didn't save all this stuff?!

Cruzers are letting their TDS get the better of them, yet again. They have now found themselves aligned with ANONYMOUS and ISIS ( who are promoted in the replacement images and videos being substituted by ANONYMOUS ) and most likely Soros as well.

One of the most infamous and effective tactics of the (D)ummycrats is to snipe the highest ranking closest advisers of their (R)epublicrat enemies. This is why durng the Reagan administration they went full bore after Donald Regan, Ed Meese, Cap Weinberger and Bill Casey ( and many more ). It is all about getting high profile scalps on the wall. They even tried it with Bush43 with Rove and Cheney/Libby. The fact that Trump isn't playing this game is a very GOOD thing. He is systematically neutralizing their entire arsenal of weapons that have always been effective and reliable methods of controlling their enemies.

Cruz has been a real putz lately. He is literally allying himself with our enemies now, enemies who he allegedly is well aware of being such an astute lawyer and politician and patriot. The mere fact that he participated in the Mississippi smear attempt of a New Yorker with the KKK nonsense should make you immediately pause and take stock of this crap and consider that Cruz has been turned to the darkside.
