Robbers and Murderers do NOT like folks who prey on Women and Children.
When I worked at the prison, those folks were either very careful to not let it be known why they were there, or, were in protective custody.
The Robbers and Murderers did NOT see the irony in this.

The Robbers and Murderers did NOT see the irony in this. I'm not sure what irony you're picking up on, but I think more than a few robbers and murderers were themselves victims of molestation.

Yup, no matter how hardened the incarcerated felon is, being a "diddler" is the lowest of low, and makes you a target in the general prison population. A lot of those guys started getting their view of the world as a child, watching all kinds of really bad stuff happening. But molesting a child in their eyes is the worse that can happen, and they want to "set things right" in the only way they know how.
