Let them meet. It won’t change a thing. This or any other nomination never makes it to the floor.
It,s the Biden Rule.
I’m going to agree with something I read today. The GOP are juts waiting for the primaries to finish to stab us in the back on this. The GOP is worthless and the GOP Senate has always been the bottom of the GOP barrel. BOHICA.
The Tea Party was a protest movement without a head, without a decision-making organization.
Trump represents a protest movement with an organization that can make decisions and therefore, can execute vetting process.
One thing you can count on: He's going to run his mouth.
My original point is still valid. Obama is going to beat the hell out of Senate Republicans for refusing to give a hearing/vote to a nominee that Hatch not only approved, but endorsed.
Hatch handed him that weapon, and he's going to use it. Very effectively, I bet.
Look - you have to take it with a grain of salt. This is a Politico article, after all. They have an agenda.

Hatch says he's open to a lame-duck hearing for Garland: http://hill.cm/qDddumC
Yeah, that bad guy Trump is really killing the party. We should allow follow the wise counsel of our seasoned elites.
Flake too.
This is the Obama media trying to get his nominee through so they can marvel at the skill of their Magic Negro one more time. Any Republican who breaks this SCOTUS blockade is a dead duck politically.
RINO stampede gaining energy. I’m so not shocked. Self-preservation first, the people be damned.
Kabuki Theatre, they’ll all-in to act like they’ll oppose then fold. Getting old.
There was never a blockade. More of a mirage. A hologram.
The key phrase here is “a handful
The key phrase here is “a handful”. There is not going to be a new justice appointed this year. I have a feeling this subject came up when Trump spoke to McConnell the other day.
‘
And this “handful” may be open to merely meeting with Judge Garland for the purpose of explaining that the Senate cannot proceed with the approval process due to the sacrosanct and inviolable Biden rule, thereby hoisting the Dems upon their own petard. There may be nothing to this at all.
I believe there is nothing to this. Even the Republicans are not stupid enough to give up a SCOTUS nomination.
