Photojournalist Allison Joyce was on assignment for Getty Images in her home of Bangladesh last summer when she passed a huge wedding tent being set up alongside the road. But the detail that struck Joyce was the fact that the bride was only in the sixth grade. The next day, Nasoin Akhter would be married off to a man twice her age. Joyce returned the next morning with her camera, and was welcomed into the ceremony.
"Photographing her wedding was obviously sad," Joyce told Refinery29 of Akhter's big day. "She didn't seem like she was under any misconceptions about what was happening to her. She was quiet and withdrawn the entire day, even when surrounded by her friends."

Sickening
Probably not. Nobody waited till 30 to marry.
15 is on the young side but if you looked at the United States 150 years ago it was not uncommon for a 15 tear old to Mary a 30 year old. If I had a daughter that was 15 I would want her to be a little older but at least she is not 12 tears and he 35 years. at 30 the guy still might be able to be a partner rather then just a perv we don’t know.

true, girls did not always like the guy (our mission in Africa always had a few girls working there because they fled an arranged marriage). But when the alternative is not eating, and if the guy treats you well, it worked.
nowcif she was 8 and the guy was 52, like MOHAMMED PBUH, then I would have a problem.
In many cultures, the bride and groom are supposed to look serious during the wedding.
In Africa, at a wedding I attended, ball the guests were telling jokes trying to make them laugh during the ceremony..
Their employers don’t pay the same taxes as they do for US citizens. That’s why corporations say Americans aren’t smart enough to work for them.. The tax code favors foreigners.

The code they write reflects it too.
