PHOENIX — Fearful of a Donald Trump nomination to lead the GOP, conservative leaders huddled privately in Washington on Thursday in search of a plan to stop the billionaire businessman. His Republican rivals braced for another Trump victory, this time in delegate-rich Arizona.

The GOP has an eager alternative in Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, yet some party leaders are exploring “other avenues” instead of rallying behind the fiery conservative, an ominous sign that Republican leaders’ deep dislike of Cruz complicates their overwhelming concern about Trump.

“The establishment is like a wounded animal, now cornered,” said Mark Meckler, an early leader in the tea party movement. “They are terrified, irrational and flailing wildly.”

McCain ran on “country first.” Vague platitudes don’t win my support, firm policies, plans and positions do.

I know what we can do to calm the poor establishment’s nerves. We can primary GOPe congressmen. That will take their mind off the presidential race.

“Conservatives plot Trump demise”

No need to waste time reading beyond the headline. “Conservatives” are NOT plotting Trump’s demise. The ones who are plotting are the RINO, GOP establishment, elite GOP aristocrats, GOP consultancy class, the super-wealthy GOP “donor” class, GOP plutocrats and GOP oligarchs. NONE of whom are actually “conservative”; they are merely self-serving scum who disdain their captive peasant voters who they see simply as necessary evils for maintaining their personal power.

Romney’s get-Trump speech has finally laid naked for all to see that the Democrat party aren’t the REAL enemy of the people, instead the REAL enemy is the fake opposition party to the Democrats. The Democrats no longer pretend to be what they are not: they now overtly campaign as the party of national socialism, period. The Democrats have also repeatedly demonstrated that they are willing to sacrifice their individual members to advance their socialist agenda, e.g., Obamacare cost them the House and the Senate. The GOPe is willing to sacrifice nothing.

The GOPe is interested in nothing but keeping their own gravy trains chugging along. And thus with Romney’s get-Trump speech, we all have proof positive of what we’ve known all along: the GOPe is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty, but that’s quite good enough thank you very much, just so long as their gravy trains keep pulling into the hog trough station, loaded with all of those free shrimp cocktails and caviar at the posh gala D.C. soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five star hotel living, free five star restaurant dining, and free skybox seats at the major league sporting events, all paid for by we peasants and lobbyists.

If you go to the headquarters of the Republican National Committee, at the end of a corridor is a gray gun-metal door with a digital combination lock. If you know the combination, you can open the door and go from the headquarters of the Republican National Committee...

...into the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee.

Radio talk-show hosts are showing their true colors.

Yep. I've had to dump a few of them in recent months, due to their obvious bias toward a certain candidate, or for siding with the GOP-e.

Limbaugh's on the edge with me.

The problem with democrats is that their oath of office means nothing to them.

Their fist loyalty is to the democrat party.

Now republicans who claim to be patriots are showing that they are not much different than democrats - just not as crafty and sly.

Yes, along with a liaison from the DC Uni-Party.

This is not the GOP “Establishment”. here. People have to realize that the DNC, RNC and MSM have officially established the DC Uni-Party. It is them versus us, the Citizens of the United States of America.
