I think that despite how much I agree with a certain poster here on FR about virtually every single issue.
Cruz is not going to win this thing.
The entire establishment is now lining up with him, to try to derail the Trump movement. Now it has acquired Cruz as a stand-in. Cruz is not going to win now, he is simply not going to win.
He should stand down, give the election to Trump, get back with him, get nominated to a good position somewhere, and get ready to really, really run again in 2024.
Cruz has become an establishment puppet.
He is not that guy. But the GOPe has acquired him for the establishment.

You are correct it’s a shame that he’s willing to possibly ruin any chance of running in the future. He should step aside and get behind this movement so the Dems don’t win with possible Supreme Court picks on the line.
I expect Cruz to say “I’m not joining the establishment. The establishment is joining me.” And he probably actually believes it.
