Franklin Graham: Vote for the 'Least Heathen' Candidate
PJ Media ^ | March 18, 2016 | Tyler O'Neil

The Reverend Franklin Graham urged his fellow Christians to vote in November, even if they have to choose between two "heathen" candidates. Son of the Reverend Billy Graham and president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Graham has taken on much of his father's mantle in the evangelical community.

In an interview with CBN in Denver this week, Graham stressed the importance of voting for all Christians.

I don't care who wins and who's out there, you have to vote. And I'm not going to tell people who to vote for, I'm not going to do that -- let God tell you who to vote for. You may have to hold your nose, you may have to decide which is the least heathen of the two heathen." Graham did not specify which candidates he considered to be "heathens," but it seems likely he was referring to the current frontrunners in the Republican and Democratic parties. Republican Donald Trump claims to be a Christian, but he is well-known for boasting of sleeping with many women, for attempting to take an aged widow's house to build a limousine parking lot, and for repeating on television that he does not remember asking God for forgiveness.

That’s GOTTA be PHOTOSHOPPED! (Otherwise, welcome to Nuremburg 1938 where scores of German women actually had orgasms listening to the Leader speak.) God help us. Truly. Founding Fathers would not recognize this is the fledgling Republic they inaugurated.

So apparently you have some right wing christian talking points memo that you are working off... I reply, you add new points. Pull something from 12 years ago...sheesh...take a look in the mirror at prideful and judgemental. I could find more to refute but I am done.

You are obviously voting for Cruz on the “moral superiorty platform” Fine.

...It will be a sad day if Trump does not win and the GOPe nominates Romney or Ryan or Kasich (but then Kasich is OK right?)...

Trump is taking incoming from all sides...he is the one who could have made a difference...

++++++++++++++++++

what’s wrong with Rightwing Christian talking points?

Voting for the Conservative. trump is the liberal.

Kasich who...

trump is a liberal. He’ll move the GOP further left.

Um... Yes it can be...There are some such as Glenn Stabber Beck and his buddy Barton who have joined forces with the GOPe, the left, and the media. Yet, the right-wing Christians had no problem with Romney in 2012. They backed him.

A recent (today) example of the (Christian?) right-wing is the compilation of a Trump hate list/Black list of all those who support Trump...That idea and effort to compile came from Amy Carpenter, a former Senior Cruz staffer. How fascist of her...I don’t know if she, as a close insider to Cruz on his campaign, is a Christian, but what she did is despicable and certainly not very “Christian.”

As I have said before...to me this election is not about right-wing versus left wing, conservative versus liberal versus nor is it even about Christian versus “heathen.”

What it is about is Liberty and National Sovereignty versus s Tyranny and Globalism.

Trump is the candidate who is pushing for liberty and is against globalism. Regardless of how great a Christian Ted Cruz is, he has not fought all that hard against globalism.

Those talking points are being used to manipulate voters. We are not electing a preacher..we are electing a President. As I said, no one had issues with Romney being a Mormon... now the litmus test seems to be being a “good” Christian as defined by whomever...

Sorry, I (and Jim Robinson) disagree that Trump is a Liberal...I can list off several areas where Trump is most conservative candidate...I have my talking points too, you see.

But what is not a talking point is that this country is on the tip...on the edge. And it is not about Christian versus “heathen” or conservative versus liberal or right versus left...It is about the survival of our country...It is about Liberty versus Tyranny and National Sovereignty versus Globalism.

I think Trump trumps Cruz on that issue.

Franklin Graham has asked everyone to vote for the least heathen (Gentile). Since Cruz and Clinton are Gentiles, that leaves:
  1. Bernie Sanders (Jew)
  2. Donald Trump (father of a Jewess)

There is nothing wrong with wealth, IF we are using it for God’s will. It is, after all, His, not ours, as we are merely stewards of HIS possessions that He CHOOSES to entrust to us. I know a wealthy Christian who has used some of his wealth to build two churches in S. Alberta and used to spend one month each year drilling water wells in VERY poor Asian Nations, at his own expense. He felt God led him to serve in that way.

The problem common to Word-Faith types is that they preach that redemption was not satisfied by Jesus’ death on a cross, but only completed by His suffering in Hell. They claim that Jesus’ death was a ransom paid to Satan to settle his legal claim on the human race because of Adam’s sin. That is clearly not Biblical, as Ephesians 5:2 states!

You can pray for anything you like but if it is not the Lord’s will, you will not receive. Unfortunately, so many of these Word-Faith types preach that God wants you healthy and wealthy. They completely avoid Jesus’ comments to the rich young ruler in Matthew 19 and Mark 10. They also studiously omit from their teachings, Jesus’ words in Matthew 6 and Luke 16 concerning two masters (God and wealth/Mammon).

The ‘Prosperity gospel’ is nothing more than New Thought/Christian Science with a veneer of evangelical language. satan is a slick liar, even convincing many of these Word/Faith preachers that they are being truthful to the Gospel! 2 Timothy 4:3 very well describes these types of preachers. In John 16:33, Jesus said that there would be trouble in this world but these false teachers teach that you can have health and wealth and never suffer for your faith. That sounds like a very broad road to me!

The problem is, though anyone in the US or Canada can easily have access to a Bible, few who call themselves Christian, take the time to read it, nor digest what it means. Society has taught us that we deserve everything we want and should get it NOW! We are so conditioned to this that, in general, we are unwilling to believe or even look at the ‘hard’ parts of Jesus’ teaching. Unfortunately, too many of these false teachers crowd the airwaves, convincing a Biblically illiterate population that they can embrace materialism AND God.

Manipulate...no inform. trump went after Cruz’s faith. Its fair game to return the favor

I’m not convinced trump is a Conservative. He doesn’t know what a Conservative is. He’s a liberal. Period.

trump cares for trump inc. he doesn’t mention liberty or tyranny as his plans on trade and ethanol would expand govt tyranny. As for globalism and natl sovereignty....see trump inc... trump is interested in enriching himself and sees the presidency as the way to do so. Right now trump has over 100 business deals ongoing with foreign countries. Those deals will be put ahead of country.
Cruz has no such influences like that.

Let me set you straight - it was Huckabee who took up the Kim Davis cause. Cruz tried to horn in on the entire thing, and got his chops busted. Wise up!

Good God, Trump said no such thing. Kim Davis couldn’t marry anyone. She was the one who signed the marriage licenses. You truly are moronic. Well, they are marrying the gays all over this country, so it appears that most states are adopting the Supreme Court ruling.

I’m a Christian, and I don’t attach other Christians. However, when I see one who is a hypocrite - I will call them out - namely, Ted Cruz.

Trump had 4 wives? Who’s the 4th? Kasich has been married before, and Ted is rumored to have had affairs, so, who in this group is pure as snow?

>>>What a way to choose a president. By hair.

Nah, the poster I replied to was surprised by the comb over.

But it does reveal a very vain person under it.

IMHO, that comment from the debate (and the ensuing response from Trump that left Cruz with no choice to applaud) was the beginning of the end for Ted.

I think Trump is the only one who is talking about Christians being beheaded by ISIS and the attack on Christmas...Ted may have said something about it, but it’s all buried by his incessant naming the few states he has been Trump.
