Depends...I’d rather cut elsewhere before we cut fighting ISIS. But that’s my point...if there is nothing wrong with it why are Trump supporters upset that Cruz is mentioning Trumps position?

Cruz has turned into Rahm: “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

But they aren’t cheap points if Trump agrees with it. It’s free advertising. Trump should lead with it...I mean he’s right about his position, no?

I think the people are fearful of not funding a fight against ISIS.

Dishonesty and pettiness is unacceptable.

I thought you said you were a Trump fan??? That would be funny, but I didn't a sarcasm tag so I guess you are every bit the "True Believer" who can't the forest for the Trump trees obscuring your vision.

Wow, where did that come from. Watch Trump’s AIPAC speech? Apparently not.

Yep that’s my point. Trump should be the one highlighting this and thanking Cruz for calling attention to his platform. And that Cruz would just give money to Brussels to fight ISIS.

The attack on Brussels was in the pipe line long before Trump made any statements about the future of NATO.

Of course from what I have read of Cruz, his father, and the Dominion Sect they represent he would like a Theocracy here based on the Bible.

Would not seem to separate him from the Nation of Islam much does it????

Wow! Should I start to pull up on video all of the statements Trump has made and then says “I didn’t say that”? Poor Trumpsterszs—following in the footsteps of the Jim Jones enclave. Enjoy the Koolaid!

I agree with you. But to act like the flinging of hyperbole is a one way street is disingenuous.

There were month’s of anti-Trump articles being posted here. Many more than anti-Cruz.

Trump couldn't be clearer. He will do whatever it takes to disintegrate ISIS in the Mideast. He will fight them at home, and that includes not letting them enter the US. What he will not do is enable EU leadership to flood Europe with invaders, and then we defend them against their own stupid policies.

Cruz should be telling those NATO countries to "man up". Instead he's saying we should continue to fund their self-imposed destruction.

Where did I say that? All I’m asking is why are people that support Trump upset that Cruz is giving Trump’s message to cut funding to Brussels free airtime? I mean they support that platform right? So they should be saying thank you Ted for the free publicity and getting Trump’s platform out there known to everyone.

I like Cruz’s constitutional stands a lot. But Cruz isn’t appealing to the people we need to defeat Hitlery. Trump is most likely to defeat any of the Dems. IMO

Cruz did not imply cutting, he directly asserted that Trump wanted to get totally out. Trump did not say that. If you don’t know the distinction then your argument has no place in the facts of what was said and what one implies to project his version of the truth for his own political agenda.

Sorry, you didn’t include the last part:

Later in the interview, Trump qualified his remarks saying that the U.S. should not “decrease its role” in NATO but should decrease its spending.

Did you forget that on purpose?

give me a break. I'm reading and replying using voice recognition on my smart-phone or typing on the fly with my thumb while running around working and taking care of business.... multitasking

I don't think I posted from my computer with a keyboard with time to poof in the last 5 years

that being said...free republic sure does need a way to self edit a post after it posted like almost every other board website I visit has now a days ....the edit features here are Internet Dark Ages

To be an impactful political website you need to be able to comment/reply FAST!.... but that inherently means you're going to be a little messy in your comment/replies....

(print is dead because the 24-hour news cycle is dead ....now news and commentary has to happen in seconds to be impactful... effective need to be fast else it lost in the noise of the pack)

..... We need to be able edit clean up a post after it posted

Yes, the anti-Trump people are so evenhanded.

Seriously, both sides do plenty of hyperbole. Trying to act like your side doesn’t is disingenuous.

And that won’t happen with any Republican running? Or only the ones the left figures they can beat.

Is this the same as: Cruz, 12/8/15 Another GOP presidential contender, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, said, "‎That is not my policy." "I have introduced legislation in the Senate that would put in place a three year moratorium on refugees coming from countries where ISIS or al Qaeda control a substantial amount of territory. And the reason is that is where the threat is coming from," Cruz said as he was leaving a South Carolina field office. What about Muslims from Paris or Brussels? They OK?

I’m not. As for fighting ISIS, to bad the EU shipped them in. Their problem, their nickel.
