It’s a good thing you didn’t name him after Woodrow. Besides being Illegal (ie All Bassets Must be named Gus) it would be strange “Go call Call in for the night”

All dogs are wonderful but, this guy was special. When he was ready for bed, he would get up and slowly lumber to the bedroom, his gut going side to side. When we would say, “Goodnight, Gus!” he would come to a complete stop and grunt goodnight and then slowly continue plodding to the bedroom.
I swear he was a blues singer in another life. His favorite thing was to croon along when I would sing in the shower and he would really get into it. He could sing Roberta Flack softly or could belt out raspy with George Strait.
God, I miss him mOrem than life. He was my boy.
