Former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has endorsed Texas Senator Ted Cruz for president, calling him a "principled conservative".
He said Mr Cruz has shown the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests, like in Utah on Tuesday.
Republicans must "overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity" Donald Trump has introduced, he said. If not, the party will certainly lose the White House to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, Mr Bush wrote in a Facebook post.

Yes, let’s hold hands with the leftists and just play nice. Don’t you know? When they show up getting paid by the hour to riot at Trump rallies, it’s all Trump’s fault. When ISIS bombs Brussels, it’s because of Donald Trump’s NATO comments. When Donald Trump says he’ll “spill the beans” on someone’s wife because they called his wife a whore, Donald Trump is making vulgar threats.
