The jobs thing is an issue. He should never had made that pledge. Just too many parts of that are out of his control. He has done a decent job making Wisconsin a better environment for job creators, but it just wasn't in the cards with the economy the way it is to get his number.
Not sure about this WEDC scandal. That sure went nowhere once it made the original rounds. We were hearing things like 55% of the money went to folks that supported him. Well, duh, about 55% of the state voted for him. Seems about random. If anything, it shows he wasn't favoring his friends.
Sanctuary cities? He certainly didn't start any of them. He did ask the senate to focus on other things, and said he didn't want them to spend time on their bill. That bill was to fine a sanctuary city any time they did something a sanctuary city does. Not quite sure how they were going to measure it. But he did not actively support and initiate any sanctuary city.
As for amnesty, so much of it was based on his use of the word pathway. And he didn't have a clear idea how bad things are in the border states. I think we cleaned up his position well there.
He certainly does not have charisma. And he is very helped by a conservative senate and house. But it is a stretch to claim his only positive is act 10.
Walker was their first attempt at a stealth amnesty candidate.
Failed miserably.
Teb! was much more successful at hiding his stripes.
Oh well good - track record pretty much identical to Trump in supporting amnesty - this should endear him to the Trump crowd.
I don’t think Trump endorsed the 2006 Republican amnesty; bomb the world, invite the world policies.
I worked the original Walker Milwaukee County Executive campaign. I backed him for Governor - Twice. I’m pissed that his political ambitions got in the way of him being the great governor he could have been.
On jobs he should have done much more. He could have pushed harder for the Gogebic Mining, allowed the Kenosha Casino, fought to keep Oscar Meyer. I don’t know whatever happened to the unaccounted for money from WEDC scandal. Maybe that was nothing. Illegal immigration is a huge problem. Milwaukee is not the same city I grew up in. The middle class neighborhood I grew up in is now largely Hispanic including a Hispanic grocer with few English speaking.
Very disappointed in all our Wisconsin politicians.
And he isn’t running.
Mofo politics is 100% correct. They were also right 3 years ago about the phony Mark Levin, and I blasted them for it. I no longer do.
