National Enquirer story claims Ted Cruz has had 5 mistresses (I'm smelling DESPERATION)
American Thinker ^ | March 25, 2016 | Thomas Lifson

...

The way the story is phrased (“reports say”, “claimed an insider”) is distancing the magazine from the charges, which is quite different from its presentation of the Hart and Edwards scandals.

The Enquirer has been openly supporting Donald Trump. So I take this with a tablespoon of salt grains...

If Cruz only had 5 mistresses they’ll never let him through the gates at the Kennedy compound.

I keep 57 girlfriends myself. One for each week of the year and 5 spares for holidays.

“Cruz should never had posted the picture of Melania.”

“He didn’t. A PAC did.... but you know that already.”

Then why are you blaming Donald Trump or Roger Stone for what the National Enquirer did?

Double standards much?

If I only voted for ones that met my moral approval that would leave...uh no one.

So you're OK with your guy doing it, but you draw the line at the other guy doing it. Got it.

Roger Stone was the one shopping the story around until the Enquirer bit, that’s why.

And where did I blame Trump?

Let’s get the facts straight.

Very high standards are one thing hypocrisy is another.

Indeed, let's contemplate on hypocrisy...

“The Bible is the most special thing.”

“First of all, I am a great Christian, and I am, I am. Remember that.”

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

“I think apologizing’s a great thing, but you have to be wrong. I will absolutely apologize, sometime in the hopefully distant future, if I’m ever wrong.”

“I go as much as I can. Always on Christmas. Always on Easter. Always when there's a major occasion. And during the Sundays. I'm a Sunday church person. I'll go when I can.”

"People are so shocked when they find ... out I am Protestant. I am Presbyterian. And I go to church and I love God and I love my church,"

"When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed,"

Actually I just saw his denial. Funny how all the media ran his Trump attack separated from his denial for the first few hours.

So, Ted did deny it. And the WaPo has two of the women confirm it, and Katrina Pierson (of the Trump campaign) denied it.

FWIW, Katrina Pierson, of the Trump campaign, has denied it.

Huh? Who are the two who confirmed it?

Two women have denied it.

This story had the twitter hashtag #TheThing weeks ago and was going to be outed by the Pro-Rubio people.

Several media sources had the story.

Trump did not release the story. If he had so much control over the Enquirer, it would have been much more relevant a few weeks ago before the Utah Caucus.

Ted’s problems are Ted’s problems.

I also do not believe that Trump is responsible for the Brussels attack, even if Cruz tried to make that case a few days ago.

Shame on Ted.

Just throwing out something here. Has anyone considered the possibility that this story was concocted by the GOPe? Maybe I give them too much credit, but what an ingenious plan. Plant the story enough so that someone like the NE puts it out there. Half the R’s and conservatives automatically believe it, the other half immediately blame Trump. One step closer to a brokered convention, where they can install their guy, Paul Ryan.

That is a definite possiblity.

I do not see the timing of this helping Trump at all. He is heading into states that are GOOD for him.

Would have been much more beneficial earlier.

WaPo says two have confirmed but doesn’t name. Moreover WaPo says it’s an okd story sat on for some time.
