The way the story is phrased (“reports say”, “claimed an insider”) is distancing the magazine from the charges, which is quite different from its presentation of the Hart and Edwards scandals.

Actually, this story has several details that makes me think there may be some truth to it.

One of the identified women is a mucky muck in Fiorina’s campaign. There was a very strange $500,000 from Cruz’s campaign to Fiorina’s campaign. Smells like a favor or payoff.
If there is any truth to it, Ted Cruz is done. You can’t run a campaign as the champion of the religious right, and have your motto by TrusTED, and then be revealed as a hypocrite in this way.
Someone in the media needs to ask him directly if there is any truth to this story.
Even after a shower Trump will still be losing the next primary state Wisconsin. Looks like the most recent 2 polls have Cruz winning it. Maybe thats where the suggestion of “desperation” is coming from.
