I believe the battlefield represents an early Cruzite / Trumpkin conflict. Just not as bloody.

Maybe it was a board game gone bad.
They should have studied Risk management.

Holy crap. THAT is barbaric and violent warfare. Man to man. Makes you shudder to think of it.
Amazing pictures.

I wonder what the hell they were fighting over 3000 years ago? Climate change.

This was an excellent find and article, I hope they find more funding to excavate more of the area!

The article says that at this time the primary causes for this type of conflict were land, cattle and women.
Not sure if that is a list of causes in descending order, but I'd't sure as he11 hope not.

Debate continues over whether Stone Age people were peaceful or warlikeSome wit said that human history has been one of long wars with an occasional outbreak of peace.

Just to note in passing that Narmer fought a war that united upper and lower Egypt in about 3100 BC, 1900 years before this.

THe few thousand is an estimate based on the exploration of about 2 to 3% of the battle area and finding 150 bodies and 5 horses. Remember, not everyone died so involvement probably was higher.
To: Rebelbase
After 3000+ years it is impossible to determine the age of these men. Beyond absurd.
