I have to wonder how this will affect Trump’s relationship with Katrina Pierson. Assuming it’s true, did she tell Donald prior to accepting the position as national spokeperson? She is such an asset that I think he would have to let it slide if she didn’t inform him. If she did inform him, it means that Trump has, potentially, been holding this bombshell back for quite a while and it would suggest that when he was discussing ‘spilling the beans”, he wasn’t talking about spilling the beans on Heidi Cruz at all, he was talking about this.
LOL. Cruz has a problem. He has a penchant for BOW’s (Bitches on wheels. Think roller derby girls) I bet Katerina came to Trump and laid it all out up front. He said OK, but you get a bonus if I see blood spilled.

I think Ms. Pierson issued a statement denying any affair with Senator Cruz. If she was telling the truth, the story must be a lie. If she was lying, then it follows that the story must be true. Since she is one of Mr. Trump's official spokespersons, her veracity is very important to the campaign. Therefore I would expect that if she is continued as an active spokesperson, Mr. Trump must be confident of Senator Cruz's innocence. Conversely, if he believes that Senator Cruz is guilty of the allegations, he would suspend or remove her as she would have no creditability to speak for his campaign. It is a dilemma and it will be interesting to see how it is resolved.

You overlook the other real possibility:
Heidi is a multiple adulteress and Katrina knew about it and those were the beans to be spilled about Heidi
Since Trump does not mince words and is usually very clear in his communications the fact he said Hidi means he meant Hidi. He carried thru on it too - exposed her as an anti-American
