PROOF=> Ted Cruz Cheating Scandal Not Linked to Trump Campaign – Was Started by GOP Elites
Gateway Pundit ^ | March 25, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 03/25/2016 9:40:59 PM PDT by bobsunshine

The National Enquirer published a story this week accusing Texas Senator Ted Cruz of multiple extramarital affairs.

.....

It was discovered that weeks ago a large number of Marco Rubio operatives and supporters were trying to bring the sex scandal story to the MSM attention.

Under the open guise of #TheThing they were communicating via various twitter feeds and following along to see if the story had been picked up. Most of the activity was centered around March 10th – March 15th.

Yesterday the hashtag CruzSexScandal went viral. Today, many of those DC operatives, participants, supporters, consultants, Super-PAC’s and campaign advisors have spent a great deal of time deleting their (The Thing) participation. The peak of their scrubbing coincided with Senator Ted Cruz accusing Donald Trump of planting the story.

......

Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing. Now they’re running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.

Anti-Trump Republican operative Rick Wilson tweeted this out weeks ago. (He has since deleted it.)

Yep. It’s all about taking them both out. Rush should have stood strong with Trump, but Rush got bought out. Sad.

Just this evening Mark Levin was saying you don’t have to be a detective to figure out who is behind this based upon who it benefits, then he concluded it benefits Trump, so Trump is behind it.

Levin, you're a POS.

I think Hillary thinks she benefits. If you look at the Republican primary as producing a wounded nominee with high negatives, then she may take it as an advantage.

Another way to look at it is the Republican nominee — assuming he wasn’t switched out by the GOPe — will have been tested in the crucible of the primary and will probably be more formidable in the general.

If Trump goes all they way — I’d like him to lock it up on the first ballot — then I think his experience with GOPe dirty tricks is a great proving ground for going up against Hillary.

Even if it isn’t, there is going to be a lot of publicity about this for months. That will affect the family. There is no way they can avoid it. Kids talk and believe me, they can be cruel. Do you think they live in a cocoon? They will come into a room with adults talking who will go silent until they leave the room. Kids are smarter than adults realize.

Rick Wilson is a piece of trash and Rubio stooge. Went around Twitter referring to the scandal as “the thing”.

We'll see if any of these women actually have anything incriminating to say about Ted Cruz.

The tidbit that makes me wonder was the weird revelation about a Cruz-related super-PAC making a $500,000 payment to a Carly Fiorina super-PAC, and the fact that one of these "affair" women worked for the Fiorina campaign.

The payment supposedly raised some eyebrows at the time, and now there's going to need to be an explanation of exactly why that payment was made. I mean, that's quite a coincidence, wouldn't you say?

If there was any "hush" money paid out, then Ted Cruz is toast, whether the underlying allegations are true or not, because that would constitute evidence that Cruz submitted to extortion, one way or another, and nobody wants that in a President.

I think the drip, drip, drip of this story is going to be a hard thing for the Cruz campaign to handle...

I heard that and turned The Big Dope off.

Thanks for proving my point. Nothing I hate more then a sleazy hypocrite.

Are you drunk? Your response makes absolutely no sense.

And the cruz campaign is who paid GQ for the picture, so it is kinda hard to say cruz had nothing to do with it. Again, nothing I hate more then a sleazy hypocrite.

The picture is in the public domain. GQ UK reprinted it in March as a matter of fact.

And yes, Cruz did denounce the ad. This is well known. Try Google, it's not hard.

And if you have some evidence the Cruz campaign and the SuperPAC coordinated the Melania ad you need to get that to the FEC immediately since that would be illegal - that is if your sober (I can't tell by your posts).

If that blogger/reporter who has Amanda Carpenter's sister-in-law on the record turns out to be credible, this won't be drip, drip, drip. It will be a flood.

I will say that I'd never heard of the website that has it. That makes it neither true nor false, but I do want that vetted.

That is the most suspicious aspect of this nasty drama. Was the 500k donation hush money?

Why is the victim the one who is wrong. Cruz was to blame for the PAC that trashed Trump. A bit of a double standard. Probably both incidents came from the GOPe. No one should fall for this—they want you both eliminated. The “insiders” that joined the Cruz camp make good undercover agents for the GOPe.

I don't think a campaign or ad agency can just grab a copyrighted photograph off the internet and use it as it wishes.

I’ve been listening to Levin for as long as I can remember, and it is difficult to come to the realization that he is simply dishonest.

I know he is smart enough to understand the game that is being played, but he seems to say whatever he thinks will advance the cause of Ted Cruz no matter how ridiculous it sounds.

He will apply one rationale to trump and then immediately not apply the same rationale to Cruz. It’s just astonishing.

I really wonder what he will say and do if this scandal accusation proves to be true.

I don’t know if it is or is not, but I am leaning towards thinking that is possibly is true, because I have known that Ted Cruz is not who he pretends to be since he voted for the Corker Bill.

No constitutional conservative would ever do that. He’s a fraud.

Well, an affair would be a scandal for Cruz, but an accomplishment for Trump (stud you know), an embarrassment for Jeb, and for Christie... Hmm. I don’t even want to think about that.

Again... Poor judgement. Cruz has fluster-clucked ever since Iowa and when that Moonbat Beck showed up and pulled those horrible stunts in Iowa.

If we got into a shooting war, Cruz would give orders to bomb our allies.
