How can it be losing money when it just opened with what is apparently the largest opening weekend ever?
"Buried in a movie that cost way too much (reportedly $250 million) and goes on for far too long is a promising idea that goes to waste. "Batman v Superman" might have worked better at half the cost and half the length."
Someone worked out the cost analysis and came up with a loser in the money department regardless of the opening sales.
Production and distribution costs are more than they will realize from ticket sales. Maybe DVD sales will make up for it but the way the movie has been panned I don't think so.
