Beck is really deranged at this point. He just gets nuttier as time goes by. I have said before that I expect him to be found hanging in his closet someday.

The way Beck is acting, Cruz might be afraid to disavow him!

You mean Mr. Stabbing-Won't-Stop could turn on Cruz?

Trump sure should not let Beck get anywhere near him. I can see Beck going for martyr status.

Anyone have any theories as to why the main stream media never asks Cruz about Beck’s antics?

I cannot believe I am watching before my eyes large swaths of fools as dupes for frankly a dangerous lie by opportunists and lunatics mixing religion too overtly with politics, that Ted Cruz is a divine birth as an anointed chosen candidate in this election cycle which is being touted as some culmination of a divine calendar.

Ted Cruz, as propagandized by his off the farm father, is not a divine birth for our times, he is not anointed by Jesus as the divine and chosen candidate for 2016, nor are we living in some momentus moment in a divine calendar in this 2016 election on par with the birth and life of Jesus. Dupes are made to feel they are living in the moment that is some sort of culmination of a divine calendar, misleading people who desperately for whatever reason need to feel they are direct participants of some grand holy moment predicted and foretold from ages past. It is totally false, and in my opinion reeks of evil undertones.

Ted Cruz is nothing but another politician, there is no divinity or special birth about him, nor is he chosen directly by God for the 2016 Republican nominee, he is not an anointed King, the nonsense spewed by the cults involved with Ted Cruz’s father et all inclusive of the Glenn Beck lunatics should be not only embarrassing for all Christians but reeks of such bizarre traits unwelcome in the body politic of America that, if Cruz would ever to become the nominee, all of this would be 24x7 by the Democrats in the general election and the American people will reject it and Cruz would justifiably be massacred in the election and the Republicans would also lose the Senate.

Beck said, “I happen to believe that Ted Cruz actually was anointed for this time.” This is complete nonsense and the dangerous language of a cult. Cruz must make a public statement disavowing Beck and stating without equivocation that he is not anointed for this time in any such manner. Cruz will not, and he is totally unfit for the not only the office of President but he needs to be removed from his Senate seat.

FOX is a total disgrace not covering the very real newsworthy pertinence of these bizaare and very disturbing aspects of the Cruz candidacy. FOX is a total disgrace at this juncture and nothing but a willing operative of the Republican establishment and it’s anti-Trump agenda. Instead they are giving cover for Cruz on the NE story which really goes back to the Rubio campaign as Cruz comes on the air again with his crap about the story being put up by Trump. FOX just wants to move the nomination into a brokered convention where the corrupt GOPe will attempt shenanigans that in the end will hand the election to the Democrats, which as far as the GOPe’s own power and elitism they wouldn’t mind at all, anything to stop Trump. Where there is such smoke, there is fire IMHO.

I do remember how C. S. Lewis had mixed feelings about how church attendance declined when it was no longer expected in, e.g., college.

On one hand, the moderating effect of religion was being lost from the world. On the other hand, now we knew that who still came was probably being honest about it.

I lean to the side of wanting honesty. An honest church is more likely to support a fervent spirit, and to support it for the right reasons. And its influence in society will be more beneficial.

To me this is kind of like the function of a pot or a pan, rather than trying to put the food right on the fire. We do not smother the fire with the food resulting in no fire and raw food, and it’s also easier to avoid burning the food. (I went to a place that char-grilled bread for peanut butter sandwiches. It might be highbrow but it tasted terrible.)

Ted seems to be using his faith for superficial things, missing the entire point of having it.

Donald has a lot less faith, but again he isn’t usually pimping it.

God would rather the world be honest about being worldly, than to pretend it’s Christian when it ain’t. That way, if persons from it DO become interested in the gospel, it’s more likely to be clear what gospel is.

I agree with you to a point.

When it comes to government and it’s protections of religion, it helps to at least have folks there who pay lip service to religious beliefs.

I fear for religious freedom.

It’s amazing how quickly the powers that be sell out Christianity on the alter of acting like they are fair to Islam.

That’s a very dangerous path...

I think it’s natural to fear.

After all, Romans fed Christians to lions.

But at some point, we get to the point of no return with God, personally. If God says let the lions eat you, it’s for a good reason. The lion spectacles resulted in a larger church than before, and those who were eaten went to heaven with a reward for having been faithful under those circumstances.

I honestly am convinced that God — Jesus — will strongly carry a church that is not using “Caesar” as a crutch. “He rose” is more powerful than “He was voted for in November.”

And actually it is also bidden us in the bible, by all means, to “pray for kings and all who authority so that we may lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

The Lord can grant that too. It doesn’t have to be cat food city all the time. God knows what time is right for what to transpire in it.

The point, I believe, is that the model should be that power flows from an all volunteer church to the world around it. It’s a great thing to have civil rights that embrace Christian activity, but again God may choose to put the church to a visible test by letting that fail. And a powerful church will gather its courage in these circumstances and become even more God focused than before. And sometimes events can turn around drastically. The story of Esther in the Old Testament is one figure of such events. Politely not even mentioning God, it manages to showcase the work of God to a high extent.

In the end, any man who thinks he can overcome God is a fool.

Christians must intervene on their own behalf too.

Well anyhow, I know it’s one thing to talk, another thing to walk.

If God asked me to be cat food, you can bet I would be like “God are You sure? Are You really truly sure? Are You positive?” My nature is not to be brave, it’s to be a big chicken, if anything. If you ask me to be brave, I crave big time moral support. Show me a big miracle.

And maybe God has mercy on me because of this. Maybe He’d give me power to punch the lion out.

One thing I’ve noticed, though. The trend to “religionize” our secular government has ended up being a door for liberals. They, too, talk in religious terms. They aren’t terms whose specifics we’d agree with, but they are religious terms.

By reducing the expectations we have of secular government, it will be less likely to become a loose cannon, or to be a very powerful cannon at any rate if it gets loose.

Trump could be a step in that direction. Big moral do-gooding might not need to be in our secular government’s lexicon.

According to the gospel command.

A church that says that over its dead body will it be martyrs... might get its wish.

I’m surprised this isn’t getting more attention.

Is there some legitimate reason Cruz would pay Mercury 10k?
Do you know what that parking company is?
