Much of counterterrorism is really security theater. TSA searches that have yet to stop a terrorist. Bombing raids that don't drop bombs. Soldiers standing with rifles that have no bullets in them. It looks impressive. But there's no substance behind it.

Of course it's just for show. Anything else would be too much. Western governments don't want to actually stop Islamic terrorism. They want to look like they're trying.
It's not just Obama. It's the whole system.
After every terror attack, there's security theater. Empty reassurances that the guys running everything are really taking it seriously. But there's no there, there. Instead they'll keep on bringing huge numbers of Muslims, creating the next wave of terror, even while they put on a show of being serious about the latest attack.
Being serious about Islamic terrorism means ending Muslim migration. Any government that doesn't want to do that is also not going to do much to fight Islamic terrorism except go through the motions.

In the space of just the allowed portion of the article, the author hits everything that any thinking and observant person has seen for years. The bit about no ammo issued for guard duty even under terror threat goes back to my time in West Germany in the late 70s and the Red Brigade’s random bombings. I’m sure those older than I can cite other instances. The worst, of course, was Beirut, Lebanon, and the Marine barracks. It was the largest strike against the Gipper’s time as President, IMO.

My FIL had to send a Marine into battle in Korea without a rifle. He told him to get one during the fighting. Never did know what happened.

The Marine guards at the barracks in Beirut were manning unloaded .50 cal. machine guns. It was doubly disgusting as a .50 could have stopped the explosive laden truck.

It will seem unbelievable, but the instinct of the US captain was SO strong that AFTER the blast when the men scrambled topside to deter follow-up attacks, ammunition EVEN THEN was forbade them.
The ammunition WAS available, and order was given to NOT distribute it to deck gunners.
AND:
The Marines at the gates in Lebanon also did not have ammo, when a suicide truck drove in and blew the place sky-high.
After 9/11 the National Guard was reported too that they never had ammo in their weapons.
