Folks who are asked a specific question and respond with a question instead of an answer, are generally being deceptive and evasive. See the tagline.
If Cruz came out and directly denied any infidelity, Trumpbots would just say “...anyone who would cheat on his wife would lie about it...”, so NOTHING he says will satisfy the Trump Inquisition.
And slimy as hell too.
He could have given a definitive statement right then and there and chose not to.
He’s making all the wrong moves, in my opinion.
Doesn’t matter what he would have answered, some on FR would find a way to twist his words to “prove” it was an admission. He said the accusations were “categorically false” and people were complaining that his wording wasn’t convincing enough. He’s better off just ignoring it. The people who believe he did cheat (with no evidence to this point) will still believe no matter what. Anything else he says just gives the sleaze-mongers more ammo...

The Cruz campaign is one tearful admission away from complete destruction. If just one woman comes forward the whole house of cards comes down. If he was a Democrat or even Donald Trump who has been honest about his past indiscretions it wouldn’t matter, but Raphael has pretended to be the anointed one, the pure conservative.

He has been asked a direct question. Rather than answer it he disparages the question. That is deflection.
I note with interest tonight that more and more posts are moving from strong denial to "everybody does it" or similar moral equivalency. Interesting.
That is quite an accusation, especially since you have no evidence yet that he has even done what he has been accused of. Vote for whom want but I would hesitate to slander a man’s relationship with Jesus without more evidence then a supermarket tabloid.
