Absolutely. Coming up hard on a VIP when intentions are not clearly defined -- eg, vetted by a campaign official -- is assault. You remember the guy who rushed Trump on the podium. Assault.
When and where did Fields "touch" Trump and why hasn't he filed against her for assault?
You don't know your legal terms. Assault requires no touching. You are thinking of Battery.
Balderdash
Actually, I understand assault quite well. While physical contact might not be necessary, you do have to have perpetrated an "action" that would have made Trump fear for his safety. Asking him a question or WALKING NEXT TO HIM does not qualify....unless they are backed up by some other type action that would cause Trump (or Lewandowski) to be afraid for Trump's PHYSICAL well being from the little girl.
NOT a SINGLE Security Agent reacted to Fields...and they are trained to look for danger.
Talk about blowing smoke.....
