You are pretty ignorant of the history of allegations which in the end may or may not be justifiable. The cops have a video. They don’t care about CL’s defences. He might have every justifiable defence in the book. Whether the charge is frivolous or not will be left up to the defence and prosecution either in negotiation or in a trial.
Further, the “volatility” of the campaign cuts both ways. It may put unwarranted pressure on the police either way not just one way. If they don’t charge they may come under criticism as well. As I stated. I see an assault there. There may be several defences. We’ll see what happens.

I am pretty familiar with such cases actually, and given the culture of violence and assaults at Trump rallies, I am going to go with the police on this one, rather than with deranged Trumpbot fanatics.
