Conclusion: Should Conservatives Support Trump If He Wins The GOP Nomination?
ConservativeHQ ^ | March 29, 2016 | Richard Viguerie and George Rasley

Posted on 03/29/2016 9:04:48 AM PDT by Defiant

In the final installment of our series on what conservatives should do if Donald Trump wins the nomination we look at a final scenario and offer our recommendation on whether conservatives should join Trump or the Republican establishment at the Republican National Convention.

.......

Conclusion

If conservatives form their own cultural conservative Third Party to oppose Trump in the General election they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

If conservatives sit out the election they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

Based on the historical evidence, the results to-date in the 2016 primaries and 2016 exit polling if conservatives make a deal at the Republican National Convention to deprive Donald Trump of the nomination they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

The only scenario that does not, on its face, result in the election of Hillary Clinton is an alliance at the Republican National Convention between Cruz’s conservative delegates and Trump’s populist delegates who unite to guarantee that the two leading post-primary candidates are nominated as President and Vice President – as they were in 1980.

Right now, the establishment’s goal is to sow as much chaos as possible in the lead-up to the Republican National Convention so that no candidate reaches the magic number of the 1,237 delegates necessary to win the nomination on the first ballot.

We urge Donald Trump and Ted Cruz delegates to be smart about what is happening, keep their eye on the prize, which is defeating Hillary Clinton and dismantling the establishment stranglehold on our country, and to follow the lead of their compatriots in Tennessee by forming an alliance to ensure that the Republican National Convention nominates a conservative – populist ticket.

“Should Conservatives Support Trump If He Wins The GOP Nomination?”

You guys like straight talk, right? Well, guess what Texicans?

Cowboy-booted Cruz is a coat-tail riding, fake tough guy, a philandering, phony Christian and a NWO, open borders wife-laden neo-con who will turn on his “secure the border” pledge the moment his new best friends demand it of him.

Your boy is either going down or he’s going to try and drag down the guy who signed an oath to support the eventual nominee.

Or Cruz will comply with the code, finally conclude it’s a wash for him this year and ride off into the sunset, giving his support to defeating the Dem candidate. Because that’s the goal.

It’s almost time to separate the sheep from the goats: Back to the call of the threads question—you’re either going to be on the conservative FR bus, or sulking in your tents Achilles-like, mooning over your fellow Texan and hurt pride.

A: Yes.

Trump will produce conservative policy wins 50% of the time, and liberal policy wins 50% of the time.

That’s a YUGE improvement.

Right now, conservatism loses 100% of the time under the Uniparty led by Paul Ryan.

Believe what you want to believe. She was grabbed and stumbled, never fell. Video, police and another reporter support this.

I suspect that most people here would support Cruz if he managed to finagle the nomination, however ludicrous that possibility is. He can't get a majority, and there is not way the establishment is going to give it to him after denying it to Trump. So it is a very, very, very unlikely hypothetical scenario.

However, even accepting that it occurred, Cruz would lose in a landslide so massive that conservatives would be tarred with the failure brush for 50 years. Hell, they are still bringing up Goldwater, never mentioning Reagan. Whatever conservatives here ended up doing, I can guarantee that voters throughout this land would be so disgusted with the Republican party that a third party would likely form, and Hillary would be elected. Cruz would be lucky to get Romney's states.

Continuing to support Cruz is like hoping for a Hillary (or Biden) victory. Voting for Cruz in November would be a futile gesture of wishful thinking.

Trump cannot win the general election. He has a YUUGE problem with women. He has not won the nomination and may not.

But what about that other question: Should Trump supporters support Cruz if he wins the GOP nomination?

I would support any Republican over Hillary or Bernie and I would hope that all Cruz and Trump supporters would do likewise.

If Cruz gets close to the number of delegates as Trump and he wins in an open convention then I will support Cruz.

If Cruz is two-three hundred delegates behind and wins an open convention I may support Cruz.

It neither Teump nor Cruz is the candidate I do not see myself supporting the Republican candidate. Further I will always have a certain animosity toward Cruz and his supporters if that happens when we had one chance to take down the GOPe.

So the take away is this author thinks a nationalist pro America first protectionist who wants secure borders is not really a conservative.

Every conservative voter has the right to freely choose.

If you think the GOP nominee is conservative enough for you, then by all means vote for him.

If you think the GOP nominee is too liberal for you, then by all means vote third party, as many freepers did in 2008 and 2012.

But for heaven's sake, if you are so far gone as to consider voting for Hillary, please stay the f___ home on election day.

NWO, open borders wife-laden neo-con

you are a LIAR, you have NO evidence that Ted and Heidi are anything but conservatives, something the OrangeHaired Donaldo is not. He has never been open borders and is the ONLY one in the race who has actually DEFENDED American Soverignty, in court, against his sitting administration NWO boys, and you have the nerve to make that dishonest statement... you’re braindead!

You have your opinion and you have already voted your conscious in Texas. But we are not all the same and have our own perspective on each candidate.

Cruz has some regular support here, especially Texans. Rest assured, he would never lose custody of the little girls. Realize that a fishing expedition for dirt on all the POTUS wanna-bees began the second each one declared they wanted the WH. It’s always been that way, and will all eventually play out.

I heard Tucker Carlson on Hannity say that Republican “insiders” on The Hill are saying that there is no way in hell that Donald Trump will be the nominee. The GOP won’t allow it, no way no how. The voters be damned.

Reposting from last week:

Cruz must be asked if he believes that the party establishment will back him if he forces a floor fight.

If he says he does believe the party will support his second round bid, then he's fooling himself. They will use him to stop Trump and then cast him aside for their own self-interests.

This is politics, and the only thing that Cruz can count on is what he directly controls, and he does NOT control what the GOPe will do in round two no matter what they promise. They will turn on him before the echo of the round one closing gavel subsides.

If Cruz really thinks it is important to stop the Mcconnell lying wing of the Republican party, then his best bet now is to align with Trump and declare his delegate support for Trump.

If Cruz does this now, 1) he will instantly become the darling of the outsider movement, and 2) he will drastically change the current narrative of stopping Trump with a brokered convention. That story would become dead overnight instead of lingering on until July. The story will become the GOPe naked power grab, and they will lose control of that story quickly.

It's time for Cruz to have his Rubio moment, and step up to do the right thing.

At this point, Cruz cannot win outright, and trusting the GOPe to have his back in a second round vote is a fool's errand.

His best play now is to get out well-played, and support Trump to thwart the GOPe.

How will the RNC stop Trump if Cruz drops out and pledges his delegates for Trump before the first round of convention voting?

-PJ

Dumb question. If we don’t Hillary (or the avowed Communist Sanders) wins.

Police: The police can’t “forward a recommendation to charge” (the DA files charges) misdemeanor charges without a victim demanding prosecution. This reporter would have had to make a police report and demand charges be filed.

Other reporter: is her boyfriend.

She got inside the security ring.

Her legal fees are being paid for by an anti-Trump PAC.

“Afraid to debate him now that field has cleared. “

NO, he just understands that when you’re the leader by a wide margin, you don’t do anything that might help your underdog opponent(s). If Cruze were in the same position, he’d be doing exactly the same thing. The problem for you is as a “Cruzer” you were hopful that Trump would take the bait, and you’re just upset that he won’t! Happy Trails to You!

Trump vs. Hillary

I’m not sure who to vote for if it comes to this.

Then you have no business voting. There is not a chance he77 that a wall will be built and the democrat party will create a permanent majority that will never go away until we are made a part of the caliphate.
