It looked like the SS guy on the left did not see her final approach to Trump, OR he intentionally did not see it because IF he took action against her as SS would do against possible threats, he'd lose his job and pension. This same type of pulling-of-punches goes on every day with police all over the country. They don't do what they are supposed to do for fear of professional reprisals that could ruin them and their families.

I also imagine there are laws that kick in when a candidate has met the threshold of being assigned SS protection, laws to further protect the candidate and the SS agents. By definition there have been death threats on Trump--that is a criterion, maybe the only criterion, for a candidate being given SS protection.

Protecting candidates is protecting our democratic process. Voters decide elections, not assassins. So everything must be done, no matter how seemingly minor, to protect a candidate whose life has been threatened.

Her getting between SS and the candidate is a crime in and of itself, I'll bet.
