Donald Trump berates Scott Walker for not raising taxes in Wisconsin
The Guardian ^ | 3/29/2016 | Ben Jacobs

Posted on 03/29/2016 4:08:42 PM PDT by KansasGirl

Donald Trump attacked Wisconsin governor Scott Walker for failing to raise taxes in order to properly fund schools and roads on Tuesday, in a startling new break from rightwing orthodoxy from the Republican frontrunner.

The comments came after Walker endorsed Trump’s rival, Texas senator, Ted Cruz, in the GOP race.

Walker became a conservative hero for his efforts to crush public sector unions and cut government spending in the Democratic-leaning state in Wisconsin, something that led to an attempted recall of the Wisconsin governor in 2012 and became a national cause célèbre. But, in a radio interview with talkshow host Michael Koolidge on Tuesday, Trump bashed walker's administration.

“There’s a $2.2bn deficit and the schools were going begging and everything was going begging because he didn’t want to raise taxes ’cause he was going to run for president,” said Trump. “So instead of raising taxes, he cut back on schools, he cut back on highways, he cut back on a lot of things.”

Are you saying Trump didn’t say what there is audio of him saying?

Trump supporters are HILARIOUS,

Hopefully this latest left-wing notion Trump will help him lose Wisconsin.

But who knows? His supporters are quite fact-resistant.

None. I have my settings on my computer set to intolerant.

It’s working like a charm.

He has a very big plane, Trump COMMANDS physics. The Bernoulli Effect obeys Trump.

I hope Trump does not get lost in tactics, especially on tax and budget policy— should he be the nominee.

Trump will likely lose the PA delegates and may lose some upstate NY and LI delegates to Cruz and Kasich.

Dick Morris thinks the remaining western states and CA could go to Cruz now.

Trump and Cruz should form an alliance and take this out of the hands of the party wonks.

Reagan had disdain for Bush ....

No, Donald Trump has never:

lied
slept with other men’s wives
hired illegals.
donated to Hillary
Paled around with the National Enquirer and Howard Stern

and that’s only a partial list of things Trump has never done.

Hey Dorothy. Do you know that Trump is simply playing politics here?

His objective is to win the state. He is appealing to Dem voters and independents who despise Hillary and are indifferent to Sanders.

Trump is not a check-the-box conservative. Nobody says he was or is trying to say he's the 2nd coming of Reagan. We just know that he's a big-picture leader who will concentrate on key issues and let the states decide the rest.

He has lost his mind.

I told you people Trump would be all for raising taxes as long as there was a reason for it.

Clue: There’s always a reason for it.

We are So Screwed with all four candidates - Hillary, Sanders, Trump, or Cruz.
They’re either liberals, liars, or both, attributes which will further our death spiral.
Latest insanity:
LA County just announced another sales tax hike (to support the Metro trains).
This .5% hike brings the sales tax to: 9.5%!
As goes California, so goes the country.
Once the economy crashes and states wail n gnash their teeth over economic hardship, guaranteed we’ll see pressure to “burden share” debt tax collection among states in the name of “fairness”.
One way or another taxes are going to go up due to reckless spending.

RE: “It’s tRump tRuth. If he says it’s true, than it’s true. His supporters all nod their heads, like bobble heads, and repeat after him”

Walker is a good mean, a great governor and he stood for his principles.

He’s still doing in by endorsing Cruz.

I could support Trump if I knew for a fact he would nominate Ted Cruz to the open seat on the SC.

Go Home Trump and vote for Hillary.

Trashing what Wisconsin Republicans have done within the state to remove the corruption is better than you will ever do.

Trump you are the problem.

You can fool some people, but not Wisconsin.

Trump lives in Alice in Wonderland.

What I tell you three times is true.

He’s pretty sure if he tells you stuff a bunch of times, you will believe it.

It works for some of the trumpers.

There’s a solution. Support Cruz... the only good person and conservative in the race.

And he can beat Hillary.

Step away from the Trumpfoolery.

I sure Trump would , but Ted does not want it.

Ted seems to want Majority LEader or VP and eventually president.

I want to see Walker , Jindall Newt, Rand Cruz and Trump end up with great roles on our team.

No source that is critical of Trump is worthy of listening to.

Trump the tough guy, who is going to stare down Putin and the Chinese, now sobbing in his Safe Space because of the 5-foot mean girl.

Almost as pathetic as when he ran away in tears from Megyn Kelly.

Hillary is dying to run against this wet rag.

As near as I can tell EVERY SINGLE other republic ever (except Trump) is just a GOPe stooge. Whatever that means. It was news to me but it must be true because some freepers have been Trumpeting it.
