Look if you want to respond then fine, but at least don’t come out with stupid comments which embarrass you and makes people think you have no idea on what you talk about.

So you hitch your wagon to another Ivy League DC Insider Lawyer who helped draft NAFTA and is a sponsor of the NRU, gave out teddy bears at the Border to Illegals and only became conservative when he hitched his wagon to the Tea Party, etc

Hes as conservative as John Roberts, Paul Ryan, etc.... You know the ones who mastered the art of tricking conservatives. But hey an Ivy League lawyer would not set up a ton of optics for his run on the Presidency would he?

I watched the Cruz part, and didn’t notice a whole lot of “battling” going on. Thought Cruz’ answers were incredible in their depth and import. I didn’t watch the Trump or Kasich parts because I can’t stand to listen to either one of them.

I agree. I always considered most of the people on this board more conservative than me. But these Trump supporters would probably feel more at home at DU.

I agree with an earlier poster that Trump meant top 3 governmental issues. For example, Trump always says the education should be local. That right there suggests he wasn’t talking top 3 fed responsibilities.

Something to remember:

GOPe is in bed with the Democrats for a Hillary presidency.

See:

Oh, and also, one woman asked the standard job interview “gotcha” question of, “what is your greatest weakness?” Cruz deftly answered the question by turning his “weakness” of being “driven” into a strength.

Yes, the constitution didn’t give the federal government too many responsibilities for good reason. Maybe your suggestion as to why Trump responded the way he did is correct, I hope so.

He did go on to say education should be sent to the states. He contradicts himself on many issues. He even said his wife says he should be more presidential, then said his wife thinks he’s presidential.

That’s not a bad thing. I think Trump, not being a policy wonk, can make minor verbal tactical errors that get latched onto and blown out of proportion.

“The difference is Ronald Reagan was a principled conservative with real solutions for America’s problems”.

Reagan was a great champion of conservatism on fiscal issues and defeating communism, and letting states decide if not contained in the Constitution. But on social issues he was a lot like Trump. Reagan came out of Hollywood and saw nothing wrong with homosexuals. After all they controlled Hollywood. His opinions on abortion certainly changed down through the years. He said signing that terrible abortion bill in the 60s was the worst piece thing he ever did. He was ashamed of it and as a result dedicated the rest of his life to always standing up for life, 100%. He was the greatest president of my lifetime. Nixon the second best.

I loved how Trump turned the traits Cooper tried to bash him with into good political attributes - his loyalty to people and the country and his not tolerating people treating him or the country badly.
