Ted Cruz Calls Alleged Sex Scandal 'Garbage,' But Hesitates To File Lawsuit
The Inquisitr ^ | March 29, 2016 | Val Powell

Posted on 03/29/2016 7:13:05 PM PDT by kevcol

Several political figures have already poked their noses into the issue. Most say that if the allegations are indeed untrue, the Republican presidential candidate should have filed a case already.

On Monday, former Governor Mike Huckabee said that if the senator wants to fight these latest accusations about him, he should start by suing the publication. The governor even cited the lawsuit between Gawker and former WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan adding, "I think he’s got a terrific opportunity to file the lawsuit. And, that’s the way to fight some of this stuff."

Here we have yet another noob showing up just in time for the “scandal” and calling it a “game changer”. I am shocked.

So far, they’re batting 0-2 with Carpenter and Katrina Pierson.
Hulk Hogan just won 140 Million from Gawker Dummy

He can’t file a lawsuit.
There will be discovery and he has no idea what they have.

I’m on a ittle Kindle. Is that a shadow, or does she really have hairy armpits?
If they’re hairy, I can see why Ted strayed.

That was one of the causes of WWII you know: Germans movng west looking for shaven women and a meal that didn’t include bloody sausages and fermented cabbage.

An honest man says, “I have never cheated on my wife”

A devious man imputes motives to his questioner.

If I were Cruz I wouldn’t file a lawsuit, either.

Only a very stupid person would respond to this by filing a lawsuit.

It simply does not matter, re, filing a lawsuit, whether the story is true or false.

The sycophants need to get real.

If they care about nothing else, they should care that their bizarre presuppositions are showing.

We were supposed to believe that Ted was obligated to jump when Trumpsters say to jump. When he doesn’t jump to the tune of those who seek his destruction and who drip with rhetorical tricks and mean, dirty attacks of overwhelming number, that’s supposed to confirm guilt.

Nonsense.

Carly Fiorina wasn’t supposed to say what she said. Nonsense. She spoke truth and it was perfectly placed. She was well suited to be the one to ask, why should TC be demanded to jump to the Trump tune?

Trumpsters who claim it wasn’t Trump but the independent action of the National Enquirer just doing their thing, and who claim Heidi Cruz SHOULD have been used in Trump’s tweet, have shown their true colors from what I have read from them on FR.

All the “out there” accusations that rumble down like Niagra Falls is what they trade in. The coin of the realm.

Whatever the truth of the NE and Trump connection, Trumpsters are in full throated cry FOR the anything goes effort to destroy.

Do they mirror the leader?

It seems so to me.

If Trump is so innocent, why would followers be gleefully out for blood?

Not so very long ago, what is happening now with this would have been unbelievable, unthinkable, inconceivable.

Because TC was a conservative hero.

A Mr. Smith goes to Washington.

Now look.

What changed in the picture?

Enter, Donald Trump.

Nobody on the face of the planet has to jump to the tune of anyone who seeks their destruction.

He writes his own tune.

He owes nothing to you or any entity that rains down ugly, unproven accusations like a waterfall and yells, answer, answer, answer or else be assumed guilty of whatever is being rained down upon you today, and tomorrow it will be the same, and the next day the same...

For that is the method of the madness.

Only a very stupid person would not see through the planned and contrived absurdity of it all.

YOU are correct. All who have never cheated would immediately answer honestly: “I have always been faithful”.

This is not the “when did you stop beating your wife?” hypothetical.

Only a stupid person would not say “I have not cheated on my wife” thus ENDING DOUBTS.

Cruz is either lying or is an idiot. He’s burying himself.

REPORTER: ‘Senator I’m sorry, this is a very serious question about your character,’ the second question came. ‘Will you just – if the answer is, “Yes, I’ve always been faithful to my wife,” can you just say so please?’

CRUZ: “That question is garbage. It’s a smear. That story was planted by Trump’s henchmen bla bla bla”

//

Junior, the cookie jar is empty. Your brother Bobby says you ate all the cookies. Did you?

That’s a lie.

Did you eat the cookies?

Bobby’s lying!

Did.you.eat.the.cookies?

Bobby’s a jerk. He’s a liar.

And you’re the old codger the posts the Trump’s wedding photo 10X per day. Yep, looks like Cruz has alienated most the people right here. The FR daily caucus has his support under 15% right now, right here on the this forum.

Your el Cubano de Canadian Carpetbagger has basically won only Wichita and Texas, that’s all.

Cruz would have had zero chance if it was not for shaming voting/ballots and SECRET counting in very overly-representative delegate states that eventually become the lowest electoral college vote states. He holds hand of marginal wins compared to the REAL election (w the exception of Texas).

Cruz’s 8 states vote totals (380K) is less than the population of WICHITA for crying out loud. He had the worst showing in Texas in 50 years. And if he didn’t have his staff of profile schemers sending out a posse to locate some voters he’d be long gone. And if Ted wasn’t from Texas, he’d be at <5% of the vote and he’d be long gone. Yep, he’s sittin’ on a huge Texas delegation.

What happened to the ‘armor of God?’ There is no reason why an ‘evangelical Christian’ wouldn’t have won The South, but Cruz got el zilcho. Southerners see through his overly rehearsed smarmy pious demeanor. And if he can’t win Florida, Ohio, & Virginia plus the South, there’s no path to the real victory to the WH.

All he can do is cajole, bribe, deceive & coerce his way to Cleveland. Unless he’s planning on some major league cheating (computerized vote reversals) he can not win. And if he’s succeeds in doing this, you can be guaranteed that the GOPe will back-stab Cheatin’ Teddy at the 2nd ballot.

Read some of the 57 delegation rules: many delegates are pledged through to the winner to the 2nd or 3rd round. And some delegations can DQ Cruz since we’ve never had a carpet bagging Canadian as a president. el Cubano de Canadian demonstrates how little he really regards our Constitution by even running.

Tricky Teddy = Dirty Teddy = Lyin’ Teddy = Cheatin’ Teddy

One word: Discovery.

I'm reading up about 'discovery' right now.

A landlord would send a list of written questions to the tenant, and the tenant would have to answer them honestly, in writing, and under oath.

The under oath part is important – that means if you lie in your answers it is perjury, which is a crime.

Quite a lot of otherwise private things are the business of the other side if you are engaged in litigation. This is one of the many many reasons not to get involved in litigation unless you absolutely have to. Anything that might be “reasonably calculated to lead to admissible evidence” – meaning anything that could arguably be used in court – is ‘discoverable’ and therefore fair game for the asking.

Legalese — Discovery

He almost won a Pulitzer for a truly shocking story (John Edwards). He is not going to go out on a limb for some dumb accusations with nothing substantial. I think he has more info that will be following. This is a Yuuuuge story, so I think this was the one to make Cruz and the chicks deny. Which is why Cruz is carefully not denying. Because after that comes the proof: maybe a hooker has a picture or a text or ???

The more I hear Cruz answer questions on it, the more I hear how careful he is. He’s like Bill Clinton with the parsing. It’s ugly.

bingo!

Hogan won an invasion of privacy action.

If Cruz had any cause of action it would be defamation, and public figures have such a burden to make, it is very seldom worth the effort. Even if it were, if he filed yesterday it would not be resolved until after the election. So in neither event would it be worth his time at this critical point in the campaign to dedicate resources in that direction.

Lol, delusional I say.

What changed was Neil Bush, Mitt Romney, Club for Growth, slimy hedge fund dude who owes millions in taxes, Lindsey Graham, and even that steadfast conservative McCain, all trying to take out Trump by pushing Ted into believing they give a crap about him. And you fell for it.

This game is getting so damn old, so stale and I cannot believe you guys fall for it!!

Establishment is having a ball watching the media and voters ‘playing in the sewer’...they have the voters exactly where they want them...and the Clintons are dancing it is so as nobody’s going after them.

Perception matters. Right now he is perceived as dodging the question. He can turn that around in an instant, yet he declines every opportunity to do so. Cruz’s problems are caused by Cruz.

Actually, he can't turn it around in an instant. Regardless of the answer he gives or the strength of the denial, he's in no better position than the situation of responding to "have you stopped beating your wife". Anything he says would make his situation worse. The correct answer is generally to move on with the campaign, unless there is evidence of whatever it is in the rumors.

Responding just puts the rumors on the front page longer, or that is the standard advice. This feeding frenzy seems more severe than most, in part because it's being fed by very active paid advocates (including several brand new FR posters) who are stirring it up on social media.
