It’s Marquette. It’s Wisconsin. Would you expect anything less?
More commie lib “tolerance”. We definitely are in dire need of some comprehensive “college” and “university” reform. The taxpayers shouldn’t be paying to have their children brainwashed and programmed by the government.
Marquette is ostensibly a “Catholic university” is it not?
Actually, he is not being fired because of his political views; he is being fired because he believes in the free exchange of political views. If he had actually expressed support for the exclusivity of traditional marriage, which he did not, he would already be tarred and feathered. (I speak from experience here: I no longer teach a course at a college that I taught for over ten years, because at the opportune place in the course I worked at presenting all common points of view concerning the nature of marriage, and that was too much diversity for the “diversity” crowd.)
Shame on weak-kneed “Christians” who support with their money and presence this persecution of those who follow God’s teachings in Scripture. It’s time to recognize Satan’s hijacking of higher education in the USA, with very few exceptions.
You might not have noticed it, PC bullies, but conservatives are fighting back. Tread on us at your peril.
Wisconsin is a red state. Although this is a Catholic university, they probably recieve grants from the state. If not, Catholic Charities does. Cut the funding until the university supports free expression.
Marquette is the alma mater of Sen. Joe McCarthy (R-Wis.), the Russian spy hunter.
Now it is Marquette’s turn to make their “communist” diplomas into worthless toilet paper.
Do not hire ANYONE with their degrees - and tell them why.
Marquette U (a Catholic U in Milwaukee) moves to suspend, then fire, professor who defended a student’s right to defend male/female marriage, thus setting the stage for academic freedom battle.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
This little Nazi is now on tenure track at another institution according to the story. "You may hold any opinion you like but you may not express it" would be a line put in the mouth of a particularly dense villain in a third-rate comedy. She meant it.
But that tenure track thing is telling. She's going to be part of the whole rotten institution now, and she's going to teach intolerance in the name of tolerance. The only thing worse than stupidity is when it's coupled with evil.
[[Marquette University has moved to suspend and then fire Professor John McAdams for backing a student who tried to defend man-woman marriage]]
Apparently it’s now against hte Law to believe in God and voice that opinion or Agree with biblical principles?
Face it, a non STEM degree is now officially an admission that one cannot hack demanding studies.
Was not like that in the past, fortunately.
