What they are saying is that the murderers are a coherent voting group that is large enough to be able to cost politicians their jobs.

Guess what. Take away some welfare money and make it a work or starve situation and some lazy Americans will be glad to do those jobs.

Your almost touching on something that is very dangerous. The financing system of Western democracies is very corrupted. The politicians do not serve the voters they just fool them at election time. If only legal voters for a politician could contribute to a campaign and limited to a modest amount for each cycle it would become the politicians interest to serve the people they represent.
