The problem is, that Cruz cannot win.
He is currently fighting Trump. For what? Cruz is not going to win this election.
If he successfully blocks Trump, it will be Mitt Romney we will have as a candidate. Or some other establishment flunky.
Cruz is causing the problems at the moment.

Cruz or any other Republican has a much better chance to win the general than Trump.

Maybe if Trump didn’t go after him, he would have dropped out. It got personal and Cruz will deny Trump the nomination.
Oh well, politics is a blood sport and your political enemy can be your political ally overnight.

If Trump is cheated out of the nomination and I stay home and Hillary wins, according to the Cruz supporters I and people like me will be to blame.
If Cruz is not nominated and the Cruz supporters stay home and Hillary wins will they be to blame?

So explain why Trump is trailing Hillary by 11% and Cruz is beating her by 3% in the latest head to head poll.
For the record, I don’t think Trump nor Cruz can beat Hillary. I’m just wondering why Trump supporters think he can beat Hillary when he is getting trounced by her.
