World’s Biggest Green Energy Company Collapses
.breitbart. ^ | 30 Mar 2016 | by James Delingpole

Did you short-sell your solar energy shares as I advised last week in my Breitbart piece “The Solar Industry is Dying: Good Riddance?

If you’d picked SunEdison – the world’s largest green energy company – you would have made a killing as its shares plunged further this week, amid rumours that it now faces imminent bankruptcy.

SunEdison, valued at $10 billion in July 2015 is now worth just $400 million today. This represents a catastrophic loss for the investors gulled into this sector in the mistaken belief that “clean” energy is the future and that it’s possible to make lots and lots of money and polish your environmental conscience at the same time.

Well maybe once you could but not any more. And it won’t be the last green venture to turn to ashes either for one very simple reason: renewable energy is almost entirely dependent on taxpayer subsidy. When the money runs out the business dies.

I’m kicking myself that I didn’t follow my own advice and short those SunEdison shares. But I’m guessing there’ll be plenty of similar opportunities in the years to come.

It’s one reason I can’t wait for the anti-green hedge fund – Cool Futures – I wrote about a few months ago to get going. Though it’s not going to make me much money (I bought a share in its management company via Gofundme), there are few things that give me greater pleasure that watching people profit from the collapse of the Green Ponzi Scheme.

These troughers are lower than pond life; they’ve been leeching off us for years and now they’re getting the comeuppance that they deserve.

Is Bill Ayer’s offspring of the Edison family?

So how much did we taxpayers lose on this one?

No, but his father was president of Commonwealth Edison many years ago.

Well, since they lost 9.6 billion and there are only a handful of actual working taxpayers left, it would seem that you and I lost a lot on this enterprise. And to think, we go to work every day and get to donate our pay to this kind of graft and corruption. Someone got a hell of a payday off of our pay. And apparently it is all legal. Pays to know the right people in this case. Banana republic stuff here.
Or baraq’s America.

Obama is worth about 15 million and he has Northern Trust investing it for him. Blind trust. I’ll bet NT invested a pittance in green energy schemes for Obama.

Wow. I think a better headline would be ...

But, Hybrid electric/gas vehicles continue to sell.

Little known fact: 78% of all Ford Fusion Energi buyers do not purchase the vehicle for any other reason than to get the HOV sticker...

This may be the One’s version of Hitlery’s cattle futures trading.

If you rig it, they will come.

Several enlightened states have special lanes limited to car poolers. high occupancy vehicles. Another liberal pipe dream like light rail and electric cars. Hybrids and electrics get to use HOV lanes no matter the body count in the car.

A great example is in Northern Virginia. The HOV lanes are lightly traveled while the normal lanes are bumper to bumper with government drones entering or leaving DC. If they opened the HOV lanes to all traffic, it would add two more lanes and ease everyone’s commute.

The hov lanes on I-95 are a joke. The road needs to be a 12 lane road like I-95 in NJ.

High Occupancy Vehicle.

If you have the sticker, you can ride in the carpool lane and speed past the rest of us schlubs, who pay taxes to maintain that lane...

yeah I ride in it everyday...totally sucks and I do not work for the Gov. Here’s an interstate highway bought and paid and maintained with my tax dollars that I cannot use during high volume times of the day being that it is totally closed off for the last 20 miles or so until DC from all but HOV stickered cars and carpoolers.....and it is going to get worse as they plan on instituting the EZ pass and minimum 3 riders per vehicle in 2017. Screw the DC beltway crowd, the Dems and the RINO’s that let this happen....its all about control.

Just think how much better it will be with fewer HOV drivers.

Ok, 90% government drones

Ahmad Chatila CEO 7.7M compensation including 1.5M cash bonus for doing such a good job. Wonder if he’s an Obama supporter? Something seems familiar about the name.
