I totally agree with you. That leaves us with the question if Trump is telling the truth, or is not really on our side. I do not see too much evidence that he is a truthful person. Exhibit A - his continuing lies about Walker and the budget.
I do freely admit that I love that Trump forced a significant change in the dialog. That was very healthy. Just don't know that I trust him.

I agree, but I do know that the others are irredeemable scoundrels.
I think Trump has a love of country that the others do not, and he *might* not stab us in the back. That’s a better deal than we get from any of the others.
